Wow, my expectations were flipped. I thought as a rally-lover I'd easily do the Yaris event and fail the Chapparal. Not even close to Bronze with the Yaris so I'm out. The Chapparal one is pretty good. Grippy. No car pick as I don't own one. lol

Morning folks,

Yesterday evening i ofcourse did some Nokia-time,
The Vacuum was very doable on the setup and for what i have seen a more pleasant experience tan i expected, so @NAXEHT ..
You were right indeed, it's not to bad at all!

I am surely going to do a descend TV session on that one! the start wasn't all that bad.... to be continued!

Then tried the Yaris yesterday...... yeah, that isn't the best idea on the remote setup lol., rally isn't my strongest point in the game, i knew that already but i couldn't get anywhere yesterday.

Went for it again this morning on the TV and that felt a bit better, i'm still far from descent but at least i did gold it.
The suspention realy s*cks on this combo, a little looser would have been a lot more pleasant to yeeet imo, and for this setting it just lack a little bit of power, i feel like half of the lap your running to low on RPM to get a descent grip.
Then the fire "bucklepiste / Mogulslope" long lefthander is just praying to hit the bump the right way, same goes for that righthander around the cabin, the car is just to stiff to get around properly.

Curious what the end goldtime will be because this below is kind of shocking

A rally trial? Uhhh no thanks. I think I’d struggle to get gold on that one!

Chaparral 2J at Watkins Glen? Much more like it! Tricky but fun, there’s understeer, there’s snap oversteer, there’s terrifying speed, there’s only three gears. A lot to like!

A few tenths to find for me but happy to get a decent time on the board straight off the bat!
Seriously...... there is still a few tenths??:confused::lol:
Not to shabbyy at all there buddy!

and uuuhhh...... it's a Yaris dude!, man up and join the fun, it's not to bad at all!!:lol::lol:

I had to go with the Yaris at Colorado Springs reverse. As everybody has already commented, this is a hard one. But I have to say I kind of like it. I’ve never done Colorado Springs reverse before and I’ve always hated it in the normal direction but reverse is vastly better. I like this track.

I think that gold might be a bit optimistic, but I’ve got a safe silver for now.

The fact that I’m in the top 900 and I’m not even in gold at 4.1% is crazy

First time as far as I can remember that, 24 hours after a TT has opened, none of @Tidgney, Kie25, SammySnake, @Mistah_MCA or Calster has made a guidance video for it. Admittedly there is the extra one, for which Tidgney and Calster have done videos, but I am sure some of it is the difficulty level.

And in case you read this Tidgney, I'm saying this just to make conversation about the difficult TT, not to have a dig. I realise you've posted top times and had child care duties yesterday, on top of having done the other video.

This is unacceptable ! How do you want me to get gold in such conditions !! The only reason I did not golded it yet is because none of these influencers posted a lap guide, of course, nothing related to the difficulty of said TT or my utter lack of skills 😁

I am kidding of course !! And I'll watch one one their lap guides with pleasure if one gets posted !

I have to give credit to PD for a track that after game is old few years, is a "brand new track". Looks like not so many tested Colorado springs in reverse, including me, first time now, so PD, well done!
Also PD if you want to make things even better, sometimes some top laps don't save the replay(ghost). It's a bug that should be addressed so all top times always save replays. Thank you in advance if you can fix it soon 😊

And as many called my name when Rally TT showed up, Yes, finally, thank you!

First session done. Now let's see where I can gain more millisecond.

Placing 45...... and 2.03 % of the top..... that's mindblowing and distrurbing at the same time

Very good first efford!, ( although we were expecting it too  ), but do you run the same engine??
it feels soooo slow that i want to yeet it in 2nd sometimes......, i'm very curious to see your lap with the gyro once you are happy with your lap mr. dirt :bowdown:

I think that one of the reasons is, compared to standard asphalt tracks, here, there is no "brake at 100 meter sign". Also Rally (dirt) driving is different from asphalt where you actually should (must ) turn your steering wheel two three or even more times left-right, while entering and exciting corner. If people don't know that, lap guide can't help then.
Example of what I mean can be seen in this short video.

Yup, rally, just like driving on snow, is plain weird. There is of course a solution to this dearth of video guides. Local rally expert, great at explaining how to get the best out of rally/snow driving, skilled at using video editing software...

I think rallying is more difficult in GT generally as you don’t get the momentum/physical g sensation which makes it more tricky than real life where you can instinctively add corrective and counter corrective lock to balance the traction

Without that your relying on just the visual clues which takes quite some adjustments fo me at least
