Enjoying this combo as its really rewarding to hook up a nice lap.
Assists are the way to go to keep the rear end in check though.

This was with both CSA Strong and ASM, I need to try without ASM I think as not sure that's really helping.

Without CSA, I was hitting a 48.4, without any assists it was a 48.7 I think (but that was early on without much practice).

Drove 200km for the first stint on loved Watkins Glen and came close to gold, but can I achieved it?

Here is direct capture of my best lap:

Any advices are welcome.

From what I saw it looks like you could open up more some turns :
  • left turn after the long right after the bus stop
  • next right turn
  • next right looks better but maybe not optimal
  • next left you are too close to the inside too soon
  • last turn, you have a lot of margin on the left to widen the turn too
on all the above turns, it seems that you could be more on the exterior when entering the turn, and thus you need to slow down more to make the turn

Yesterday's training paid off... The goal was last night's Opti, which was 1' 49.2...

It started well, as I had the gold medal in four laps... and I was slowly getting closer to the goal...
which I ended up achieving... but with an optimal time of 49.0 this time...

Out of curiosity, I pushed myself harder and BOOM!......I pulled a 1' 48.718 out of nowhere...🤔🤔🤔😂😂

For the aliens, it's nothing, but for me, it means a lot... as a local singer once sang...😂😂

I might go back, but now I have to settle the score at the 2J... grrr 😡😡😡

Found 4 more tenth. Still no assists but ABS weak.

I think I'll have to try CSA now to see if i can improve further.

I have to say that is a really fun combo. And that's coming from someone who really never liked Interlagos.

Ouch ! That's a big jump! Well done!

[Edit]Small improvement this morning. Losing most of my time in S2, struggling to put power down while not widening turns too much.

Lap is shared in game (#titans) and on youtube (see spoiler), if you see anything to help me improve, feel free to chime in !

Reached my goal of a .7 although would have liked a lower one. Just don't have the throttle control in the tricky finesse corners. Replay uploaded to my in-game profile as it didn't upload to the leaderboard. Weak ABS strong CSA used🫡😎

Sooo...... this night....cat shenanigans
The 2 cats teamed up tonight against me...
One removed several acrylic Kit strokes while the other one though it would be full of minerals and vitamines...... and went for it...
all to barf return it to me besides the bed at 4AM...

So....the first PB (upper right time is indeed 4:12 AM.....😡🙈🙈😂

With the eyes I tried to hunt down @Dolph Drago ....that's a real descent opening bid you layed down buddy!

One hour and 10 coffey later I managed a ...
687....... 1 thousands behind you 😂😂

1000041847.webp

But has the feeling there was a little more, so oild up thr waggy and went again...
I was switching between CSA on and off it's sort of a compromise for me.... Senna's feel a tiny bit better with it on but the tighter corners feels worse, but timewise I don't know if there is a benefit, I eventually did 2 PB's within a few thousands.

This lap was the fastest with CSA on and ABS on weak.

Not to Shaabbbyy at all

Your lines are good, its a good lap. What stands out to me is that you do the entire final sector in third gear, you need to go to fourth after that uphill left turn. And maybe be more aggressive on the throttle.

Thanks for your feedback. I can attest that it does not change much to use 4th there, I follow a ghost that is using 4th and the difference is very slim, something like one car length lost during all sector, and mainly at the start of this sector where we are both in 3rd. It is in S2 that I lose the most time on this ghost.

About 100km today and it looked like no improvement at all. I was extremely consistent for my level. Almost all laps between 1:48:9 and 1:49,1 with a lot of 1:48,9xx.

At the end i had one lap that wasn't perfect but an improvement of almost 3 tenth.

Happy although it looks from today on Jeje, my never to reach benchmark, will march on without me having anything left in me.

Happy lapping! :gtpflag:

1:25.666 on controller

Best possible time based on my sector splits: 25.4 or high .3

Opinions on this combo: Fun but difficult, wish they gave us a different car as the GR Yaris has been used I think three times now for offroad time trials.

(Also yes hello it's been a while since my last visit, just thought I'd do a random drop in to share a lap time!)

Why bother with a GR Yaris on Colorado Springs when you can do this? The original NSX is one of the most communicative cars you can drive in this game. You feel everything on a controller, which is seriously impressive for a video game to convey. So what if the physics aren't totally accurate, because in my mind, GT7 strikes an almost perfect balance between realism and immersion. Being able to assess the dynamics of a chassis in such detail adds soo much value to the driving experience.

Improvements with the new gyro wheel. Did a drive like miss daisy lap on Friday at interlagos got straight into bronze, had another few laps and got down to 6% from gold. Highly recommend this wheel to people who can't afford or have no room for a rig.

Last night I cut another 0.200s and now I'm 0.400 from gold!

I'm doing wrong last two corners and I just can't help myself - like I don't know them from before...

Provisional WR lap. Still a bit of time left in the first and last sectors, but happy with the lap overall.

I can see a lot where I missed tbf from your lap, thanks for sharing.. please don't go under 1.46.1 tho:)

Morning,

Very small improvement on Interlagos, i missed the first apex and my S2 realy wasnt that good, but somehow i had a realy good exit of thr last corner 😂, i think ....if ALL would stick theoretically a low high 2 would be possible ..... aint gonna happen though.. 😂

Into the .4xx , I'll take it 😁😂

Still CSA on and ABS on weak

Improved by a couple of tenths again this morning. Into the 47s now! Gaining confidence on the loud pedal so able to brake slightly later than I was yesterday. Enjoying this, it's a battle as you have to be so careful accelerating but this is a beaut of a TT. Feels so good on the controller!

First go in the NSX ahead of today’s race. 50 miles in, and a good banker lap. Haven’t tried CSA yet. Hope everyone is doing well

That's enough of that. I can't tolerate the random number generator any longer.

Left probably 2 tenths on the table with this lap, almost all of which was in the final 2 corners. Also had more optimum runs through T4, all of which were ruined by the following jumps spitting me off in a random direction.

While I don't mind the rally physics in this game, the jump physics and rally tracks leave a lot to be desired. This combo was very frustrating to try and do consistently.

I did however appreciate having to learn a new way to find time given the majority of this lap can be done flat out.
