I made my first attempt at the AMG TT this evening. I am quite happy with gold, but I don’t think the gold will last long. I am really enjoying the combo though, even with all the invalid laps.

I would be very surprised if your time still drops out of gold. Top 10 already has some super aliens. They would have to find more than half a second to kick you out.

First day with both of these… not sure how I ended up 412th on both at the same time!!

In addition to the time realized, a fine choice of delivery.
For my part, I chose the livery of the special edition "GT64 Prototype Heritage"

I don’t like Red Bull Ring (ah, those 90 turns at T1 & T2, I’m usually bad here), but I have to admit that this combo is pleasant.

I don't disagree, however with 25 days left, there will be plenty of time for those aliens to find. I am sure that I can find a few more tenths, if I try. I certainly did have faster laps going until invalidations happened.

Oh yesss finally the Hypercars in GT7!!!
One of the best combos ever, i drove only 1h i have 2/3 tenths to shave off but i had a blast! I like the way this things drive.

In 1h i beat Rory Alexander, he drove for over 2 h lol
Feels good to be faster than him driving with a PS4 pad 😂

Anyone using a Fanatec DD+, getting a lot of oscillation when in higher gears running at speed on the straights at Le Mans. What settings do I need to adjust to stop this?

Here's the AMG Virtual Championship guide. I accidently ended up in a qualification spot (Wasn't my intention). I am tempted to go on again and actually get further up the leaderboard but depends if I get any free time 👀

AMG Virtual Championship actually its a very interesting one.

Lowering this to 1 will help massively.

Everything after that is down to "muting" the feedback via Fanatec settings, but I'm not sure you can completely remove the oscillations.

Watched another video at Le Mans and gave a one last try. Had 3.27.783 and was close to gold so many times ,but always messed up the last chicane or last sector. Finally hit a good one and got 3.26.531 and gold. Really proud i gave a one last try.
I did the exact same thing. Tried the Toyota due some suggestions here that it might be easier for us mere mortals and then watched the replay of the top Toyota on the board (thankfully at least one alien took it). Memorized apex speeds and gear choices and then got closer and closer pretty quickly. Had a few runs where I invalidated gold laps by a hair and then finally managed this. Super happy to have golded one of my personal thought to be impossible high down force combos.

I am so bad at gr1 and Le Mans.

After smashing my mates time in the Ford GT he bet me I couldn't go 4 seconds quicker than his 31.1 in Le Mans and get gold.

Spent an hour and a half last night in this grim heat in the UK and got within 4 tenths of gold (wasn't wearing my contacts so technically not good enough vision to drive 🤣).

Jumped back on tonight and did 9 laps in a row in the 27.3-27.7 range - infuriating. Then had 10 invalidated laps on the bounce - 3 of which were a low 27.1 - needless to say controllers were nearly thrown.

To add insult to injury my "optimum lap" potential was showing a 25.7...

Finally finished on a 27.029 with my headphones beeping they were out of battery from the end of the Mulsanne 🙈

Give me road cars any day of the week 🤣🤣

This was a rough one on controller. Combination of high downforce and racing softs has never been my favourite, although I do enjoy driving these Hypercars more casually.

Having the championship level track limits may also have helped here, as it felt a bit ridiculous how much corner cutting was required to be quick. Trying to perfectly cut the Dunlop Chicane and Terte Rouge to start off the lap caused a lot of issues in building up any consistency.

Probably have a whole second in the optimal, but any time I would be up on a good lap, the pressure would get to me at the Porsche curves or Ford Chicane where I would miss the turn in point and compromise the whole section, or clatter off a kerb and lose momentum or just invalidate the lap.

Happy I at least got a sub 25 in the end.

Decided to plot the delta between shifting on the bar blinking and optimal (with zero shift time). Seems interesting enough if you're chasing a top10 time, but doesn't seem that useful for anyone chasing a gold time on this short track. The orange numbers in the graph signify upshifting on blinking, the green ones are 'optimal'. You can see a nice clean gain holding a gear for longer, followed by a slower gain over time after having shifted.
