Not perfect but it’ll do. Again the start was too slow, just a .400 at the first split when I’d been doing low 300’s frequently. Felt mentally quite calm and locked in without overdriving/pushing which was rewarding, had pretty decent consistency for a while and improved yesterday’s 2’14.522 to a .460 with some minor improvements to .455 followed by .442 and finally the .382. The aforementioned three laps prior to the .382 really should’ve been the one but made some silly mistakes in the final two corners ending the hope of reaching a proper low 14. History repeating.

Always a pleasure to drive at Bathurst. While I get and can respect the Bathurst 1000 reference I think we could’ve had a more entertaining car and cooler time settings though. Felt kinda generic and nondescript to be driving a slow Gr.4 machine midday again. We could've had the Camaro ZL1 instead (wadey80 got tons of great relevant liveries that would've been optimal)! In this Mustang we were roughly 8-9 seconds off.

@linksracer Sorry to knock you down a notch there on home soil, mate...

Gomario, do you use motion steering? And for anyone that does, try turning steering sensitvity turned up to 10, with the Mazda, if you don't run it that high. I usually run -2, with everything, but if I'm struggling, or can't seem to improve, when I can tell there's more time in it, I'll try the opposite end of the spectrum, and once in a while end up somewhere in the middle. 10 seems to work really well for the Mazda in this TT. I'm at 1:49.1xx, right now with sensitivity at -2. I set it to 10 and can see a noticeable improvement, especially catching slides with the MX-5. I've not run a validated lap at 10 yet, but have crossed the line in the 48's a few times, in just 10 laps since trying it.
No i'm just a stick abuser, tried motion a few times cause it looks like it's doable and fun if i'm looking at @Barareklam his insane results with it, but keeping the car straight .... , not for me!
Would have been un-Australian of me to do anything less than 500km around Bathurst in a Mustang, so I did 800km just to be safe...

Very happy to have finally got under a 14.5, so many of my best laps were lost to tiny wall scrapes, killing laps that were looking to be .4s and .3s. And if I made it across the mountain in a reasonable time, I then had the whole of Conrod Straight to contemplate how I was going to stuff the lap at the Chase and Murrays, which also happened frequently.

In the end, there is definitely another tenth or more in the lap. Lost 0.05 in the first sector on my optimum of a 21.27 and then had a bit of a shimmy trying to get the power down on the exit of The Cutting. But the rest of the lap is near enough optimal. Across the top of the mountain was as perfect as I was going to get it, and The Chase and Murrays were solid.

And of course, it would have been even more un-Australian to leave Bathurst without doing a celebratory burnout.

Never been particularly good at Deep Forest, so I'll be aiming for top 500 or so.

Very nice result there! congrats!

Errrr yeah, not gonna lie or kid myself. 5 laps was enough for me, I’m out on this one now.

In VR it feels really frantic (probably just not used to the speed and such down force so that’s a me thing)

Really early tips I can offer are coast and use that downforce instead of point and squirt. I struggled with over turning the car and not carrying as much speed as is easily possible.

Good luck everyone and have fun!

I am on motion steering, if you are curious you can see some of my video where I also show how I am tilting controller.

almost the same.. I don't know this track since I'm new to gt7.. started first lap at 1:48 and did this at lap 8... How much more I need to knock off for 🥇?

The results for TT167 at Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit in the Ford Mustang Gr.4 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT are in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

Here are some interim statistics for TT168 at Deep Forest Raceway in the MAZDA SPIRIT RACING ROADSTER 12R '25.

There's definitely a theme going on with which time trial we do based on a daily race. Nurburgring 24hr ended up with a nurburgring GP time trial, autopolis short ends up with an autopolis full circuit time trial. So I suspect they are doing some of these really on the fly at the moment. Even so here is the guide. Went faster in VR initially but built my speed back up. I jumped back on during upload for 15 minutes and improved again so my fastest lap at the moment is quicker than the video 👀 .

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial: Up Two You

There’s a bit of a surprise in store in the latest Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial starting today, running over the next two weeks and offering up to 2m credits depending on how close you are to the world’s best...

Do we need to go again into discussion if tire temp has effect or no??

"Don't go for a second lap. It won't be worh it. The soft tires are overheating"

Every time trial he mentioned that, yet our own resident WR hunter never brings it up, also... Jedda mentioned he didnt think it was different too , Kie clearly has a strong opinion about this every time..... I'm confused 🤣🤣

gold is going to be under 1.33 for this one ig.. I'm not sure it's worth for me on ds4.. my best is 1.33.3 and have lots to improve but can't string proper lap together.

gold is going to be under 1.33 for this one ig..
That's going to require someone to beat the current top time by almost entire half a second. The top time which is, at present quarter of a second faster than anyone.

It's a big gap to close, never mind beat by twice that gap. We're estimating a 1:33.2 for a safety margin, but probably not much less than is already posted.

I put an estimate in the article every week, by the way. The 12R is the only one I've been more than a tenth high in... a long time.

Obviously my morning time dropped out of gold so went back for 5 more seat of your pants VR laps (I don’t know if it’s the track, but they feel so much faster here than say Suzuka?) to get safely back in to gold.
