The thing is you can learn alot from different hardware or ways of playing a game. So my general rule of thumb in a morning is to jump on with my normal way of playing for like 30 minutes. Then jump on the controller (Sometimes I am having to much fun and stay on for like an hour), sometimes I learn something I can apply then on the wheel. I jump to VR and sometimes I learn things there and then I jump back on the wheel and use everything I learn from there.
Sometimes it's a gear change, or maybe because on the controller I can't turn as much I realise I'm overturning in some corners. It's actually been helpful for me to play these otherways as well as helping everyone else.
