@Metalgear9493 congrats on your new VR2! Enjoy it when it arrives 😁

As for me... I'm baaaaaaack!

Struggling a bit with pace with road cars still, but the Gr2s have been figured out.

For anyone considering the Logitech RS50, I highly recommend it. The load cell has taken some adjustment but the feel and experience of this combo far exceeds what I had on my G29. There is so much more info available.

Glad you're back! Congrats on your new wheel!

Besides from the difference in the pedals, what would you say is the most striking difference in the wheel? How much more detail you get from it? What about turn in rotation and catching slides?

One and done with the MX-5, this lap felt good enough, not really interested in grinding this one out for a top 100.
I find this car a bit lacking in character, while its fun to toss around the corners, its lacking in power which is a problem where 2/3s of the track is flat out straights.

Also put a banker in at Autopolis with the Gr2 Lexus RCF, will come back to this for an actual lap, but another combination that probably won't get a full grind, high downforce car with racing softs is not a good recipe for the controller users.

Its 100 fold the difference. I can feel kerbs now and it's a challenge to fight the wheel to get turn in. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing yet as I'm still working out what works best for me. I'll say that anything Gr2 and up, without any dampened, thrashed my arms around even at 6nm let alone 8nm.

Catching slides is far easier too. There's no dead spot when the wheel is at 0° so I'm doing far less guessing and much more feeling. It's a great piece of kit.

That's awesome dude. Enjoy it. Thanks for the feedback. In a few years, when I feel ready for an upgrade, I'll have to revisit this info.

Morning folkies,

Went out with the NSX again this morning.
My previous sessions i had CSA on and was already happy with my PB to be honest, i'm just not that quick with the high downforced cars, so started the session without the CSA this time..
Very different car!, slower corners are so much more tricky!, but soooo much more traction if you get it right!
Car feels a little less agile without CSA for me and on the faster corners almost more controllable than with CSA, i can coast a bit more but still be faster or something..

Best lap was a 31.627 this morning but missed the apex on T12 :mischievous:, that did cost me a .5xx for sure, maby more..

I am on the fence with this wheel.

I watched a few Youtube videos, in particular the video made by SuperChicane. It's a french channel specialized in sim racing, they play a lot of game including GT7. I appreciate the fact that they are nuanced and seem objective on their tests, pinpointing good and bad sides of each product.

On the RS50, on PS5, they found that there was a noticeable "spring" effect that constantly pushes the steering wheel toward the center, making driving less natural. Same goes for ACC. While that was not present on PC with the same kit. They even adviced to not buy it if it is to use on PS5 and wait for that issue to be fixed.

What's your opinion on the matter ? You seem very happy with the kit.

Tiny improvement at DF, back in top 5000 but not in the 48s... my optimal is although... I'd like to beat my best ranking but it seems far fetched.
Saw your improvement and thought 'This can not stand!'
Just kidding, your improvements lately are motivating to see if I can improve as well!
Knew 48s were in my range and managed a 48.819 :gtpflag:
Optimal was a 48.6xx but I'm calling it on this one and moving to Autopolis!

I guess my opinion is that I didn't know this was a thing nor do I know any better. Ignorance is bliss I suppose! Quite happy with the difference here but am curious to try a Fanatec to compare or my wheel on PC.

The guys from SuperChicane test a lot of stuff so for sure they have a lot to compare to. If you are happy it is the only thing important. And I've never had any wheel, even a G29 so... that shouldn't be a problem for me either.
