New test in Blue Moon Bay Speedway :
Improve my time at 0'56'382
I was able to improve my time but it's tough. However, this circuit only has 2 real turns but it's still tough with this Z8 which, at times, is uncontrollable... My optimal time at 0'56'151 lets me expect that I can do even better....🤞🤞

Gomario!!! I am seriously looking forward to it. :D:D  Trust, that 2J is an absolute dream to drive. The Daytona one indeed sucked but that was entirely due to the track choice.
Your message gives me hope 😁😁🤣
I hope ill be surprised buddy!

Trail braking is still a tricky concept for me to use, it's not that simple in it's own reality. The best way to learn it is to study top drivers guides like Tidgney, TheKie25, DigitGaming, SuperGT and MistahMCA.

The best way to learn it, is to figure out how to do it.
You can study birds for years, but you still won't be able to fly...

Yup, that.
Ok. I think you are taking about spec III then which will introduce new collector's levels.

B-Spec was available in Gran Turismo 3 through 5 (maybe 6 too). It featured an AI driver who could be influenced with some simple commands but could also left unattended completely. It is rumoured to return at some point but not confirmed.

Went a long way to 'solving' the final corner during my second session. In terms of working out the line, and gearing. And of course, I'm not in a hurry to 'hide' my findings, haha.

55.631 enjoy the ghost!

:gtpflag:
Great run the both of them the 631 and the 617 both were so nicely done and both having awesome sector 1 times and yeah I'm the same still trying to work out the line and pace on sector 2.

Morning folks,

Blue moon glacier this morning, although...it feels like that, I get lake louise vibes...
For me this one is just "off" it slides so much that consistency is a real pain in the wiggle but here,
Even threw on CSA this morning to see if it was any better.... I don't know yet, laptimes were almost identical, although I scaped the left flank on the Z8 against the wall mainstraight invalidating the only .8 I had this morning..... 856 red 🤣
OPT would be a high 7 this session...but that just won't happen with this kind of lack in consistency.....

So....verdict....., I don't like this one

Descent result though..

First sector was a tenth off 😡

Yes, the slide at the end of the lap is very inconsistent, feels like there is one very precise way to go through it

I have reached my personal limit here.

55.528

A xx.651 sector 1, extremely good. Really accurate right kink immediately following, and a relatively decent final corner, just a tad disappointed about losing a bit of traction entering onto the final straight, I potentially lost the WR because of it, hard to say.

135 controller vibration function (very important setting I found). Weak ABS.

Hope you liked my appropriately placed graphics on the screen cap😁.

can you elaborate on what controller vibration gives you useful feedback ?
It's like a background resistance. Have this setting too weak, and you're more likely to make incorrect counter steering inputs when you're forced to catch the car.

That's the best way I can describe it. 150 is just a bit too much.

So I purchased the fr5 gyro wheel gadget other day, as much fun as it is the BMW is a nightmare to keep under control. Couldn't get in bronze after 20 or so laps. Hahahaha
I am on gyro too, and for BMW TT i lowered all 3 controller settings to far left, that will say

When track is shifting from inside road to outside road, example very last corner when you need to climb on start finish straight, you need to try to "catch" steering in that very moment of transition from one road to another, so you are holding steering to the right in last turn, but in that very moment of changing roads, you need to keep steering angle straight otherwise car will bounce and unsettle.
Another advice for entering very last corner, you hold brakes on oval road and in that very moment when you need to switch to inside road, lift off the brake pedal for a short moment, that will also keep car stable.
And also when about to exit that very last corner, don't fully floor gas pedal sharply, it will unsettle the car, try to feed the throttle until you can hold car steadily.

Lastly, you can try to turn on CS assistance on strong and see if that helps you.

Edit* are you on AT or MT and if MT which buttons are you using for shifting? I assume gas and brake are L2/R2 right?

Thanks for the advice, had controller sensitivity on 0, so maybe I will go down a notch, figured alot of the other advice as I was going along. Just a case of putting it into practice I guess🤣, only had the wheel a few days it is alot more immersive as controller, yet easy to hide away when not in use as appose to a full set up. Need a bigger house to get away with that one.

Hello everyone! I've been away for quite some time.
I've had a few issues to deal with that I won't bore you all with here.
Basically, I haven't "driven" for many months and don't expect to very soon as I'm giving the wheel and seat away to a deserving new home.
I've had an absolute blast here, enjoyed my time on the board immensely and would like to thank you all for being such good virtual friends.
I will pop in now and again to see what's going on and cneck the banter.
Thanks for all the fun, and enjoy the racing!
Cheers
Geoff
