First session with the polestar. Feels a bit like driving my Volvo C40 EV 😁

Not too bad a result.

I’ve dropped a silver at LM. I need to go back to that one. And I haven’t tried Yas Marina circuit yet. I still can’t drive all that much as my arm still hurts after an injury some weeks ago. I think I’m gonna be out of hard-core action for months to come. So this will do for now.

Agree. I thought I'd give it 100 miles to see if the handling started making sense. It didn't. One and done.View attachment 1496554
I'm realy kind of dissapointed on this one, i tried to understand it's behaviour this morning for a descent period but it just doesn't realy click with me, you just can't realy push it or something.
I was hoping for a lot more after seeing Fraga talk about it.

Should be a fun car to get your relatives sick on the way to you holliday destination but pushing it on the track, naah

After spending 30-ish mil Cr. on the new cars and engine swaps I started the 3 new circuit experciences.
After golding those (not yet looking for best times, just gold is ok for now!) I started the TT's 🤣 Gotta love update day!

Got the Polestar to a 50.9xx after 10miles. That'll do for now until I find some more time...
Need to check some guides for the Espace since i'm not even in silver territory after roughly 5 laps... :scared:
Now the new events and then back to hunting better lap times! :gtpflag:

Once I get through the weekly challenges, I think the Polestar TT will be the first one I attempt, considering it has a, what, five day shorter timeframe than the two-week usual?

Morning guys,

So much to do in GT7 right now šŸ˜‚
Already had some real close racing with the pack, very fun!

But in the end I am still a timetrialer šŸ˜‚
So had a serious look at the Polestar again, .......still hate it .... šŸ˜‚
Was a little quicker though than the previous session, probl. not enough for T100 but it's a good start..

Off to Yas Marina!

What tricky track this is, but what a way to learn the track with the Golden Van.
I am still pretty bad in the last sector, find this part very difficult but can't wait to get better on this track, very pleasant addition to the game!

Good weekend all!

Phew... what a big boat!!!!šŸ˜–šŸ˜–šŸ˜–šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬

2,500 kg that oversteers, understeers... no brakes... what a nightmare... for me, anyway... 250 km in total...šŸ˜“šŸ˜“

Result: as soon as I got the gold medal, I sold it straight away...

I don't want an electric car in my garage, and this one will be no exception...šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

They aren’t that bad, some are, but you are talking about 700+ hp cars with comfort chassis once you remember that they kinda do what they do, and they also accelerate brutally!
I can imagine that the acceleration is quite fun/ impressive in real life but in the game you don't really feel that sensation and you are left with a silent heavy car with no brakes.

From a time trial perspective at least it is something different and a challenge so I am not saying that these cars should be removed from the game or anything like that.

Getting the hang of the Espace and Yas Marina. That last sector can **** right off though šŸ˜‚. Whoever thought of a double apex off camber corner probably needs to donate their brain to medical science - so frustrating. Not too unhappy with the result, but it took a lot of laps to get there. Just over a tenth left to find

I’m guessing this will be unpopular, BUT, I think Yas Marina is an absolutely terrible circuit. It might make sense for high downforce F1 cars, but for everything else it’s just a complete dumpster fire of a track.

No one can convince me that successive, tight, off-camber turns are a good idea. Racing there will encourage terrible diving and push to pass more than any other circuit.

As for the Espace, the circuit makes a really enjoyable car feel like a terrible chore. Is anyone really getting any joy from making that thing go from 300kmh to 60kmh as quickly as possible?

Just a soulless circuit with very little to recommend it.

If this is the corner I think you are reffering to (Turn 9 I assume), keep in mind THIS was what folks dealt with prior:

As someone who dealt with this in Grid 2 AND the F1 games, I HATED it. It was Turn 5 & 6 but made even more annoying. It was no better to watch either.
