This time trial was a fun one. However my brother tells me that the gold time has gone down to a 1:31.250 so I'll need to go faster...

I was only able to just squeak under the gold time this go around. There was a lot of background noise that was distracting me and things just weren't going my way (and the damn chicane of death never helps).

Oh well, I know I have plenty of time left to drop, so I'll go back at it in a few days and all should be good. That car is intense.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial: Zonda Beach

2026 gets off with a bang in the Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial challenges, with a rare appearance of the hardcore Pagani Zonda R in the global hotlap competition...
Thought for a split second that Zonda wasn't purple... :odd::lol:

Few laps before my snowstorm fishing trip 😂

First Chicane .....1 out of 20 tries...
righthander after.....1 out of 20......
Getting it rotated down the S'es .....1 out of 20......
CoD.......1 out of 20......

How in the world can you get a clean lap in? 😂😂...

So I ended up going faster last night but based on my position, it seems as though this time trial is rather difficult. I should be way outside the top 1000 because with the Supra GT time trial, I'm 3,904th and 2.8% slower than the top time. Perhaps it's a lower participation rate. Anyway here are some photos from my run on Thursday night:

I was tweaking my wheel settings by using my Abroad account that I haven’t used for about a year to do it with the GV/Supra TT when this happened.

Not sure if this was additional practice or the wheel settings but I found it pretty easy.

Now I’m going to have to go and improve my main account🤣

Edit. And I just went even faster with 1:54.593 seconds that’s +1.83% and 536th.

I may be onto something with these new wheel settings.

Morning folks,

My goal this morning was to hit a '29 in the Zonda, the good thing is that I did... well into sub 30 with a .....1:29.999 😂

the bad thing is that i am already fed up with the combo, sector one is just to much of a lotery for me, if I'm airborn more than half of the the funfactor drops kind of hard.

Great car, realy nice handling, just a wrong track to push it imo.

CoD was kind of close..... and we can claim that mirrors don't invalidate 😂

(I did a edit in sharefactory again without HDR and 120hz but I think colours are worse again)

I went back to do a run in Zonda last night after warming up with the weekly races...

I gained almost 6/10 on my account no. 2, with a silver medal assured I think, but gold seems a long way off because of that damn chicane...😭😭

I'm not too bad at the second intermediate stage, but I lose too much at the chicane: too afraid of losing everything...
I'll persevere a little... a little... otherwise, that's it, I'll go back to the Power Pack...

Yes, this one it's difficult!

For me, keep around 2,90% it's possible if you push in first sector and be conservative in 2 and 3 rd sector, mainly chicane. But to achieve 2,5 % below you must push a little harder in S sectors and chicane.

About the car, one of my favourite using PSVR2. Sounds insane and handling awesome, as requires you feel the tires losing grip to find the limit

Happy weekend everyone - enjoyed the Supra but running out of motivation for it, so moved onto the Zonda. As @Gomario JSP says, it's a bit of a lottery and the amount of time in the air vs on the ground can be frustrating at times.... get past all of that though and then there's the CoD lottery. I found time this morning over yesterday braking a little earlier in a few places and using 5th instead of 4th through CoD. So close to ducking under 90 seconds and will have another go tomorrow morning while the family sleeps -

My first attempt at using Capcut, turned out pretty well!

The main reason why I love this wheel so much (T598) is its so silent!

Okay, if no one else is gonna say it, I will... Not only is he one of the fastest in the world, but damn, good looking too!
So in the words of Doc Holiday....
I Hate Him Val Kilmer GIF

Seriously though, this vid and lap is amazing and good to know my style is very similar. Thanks for always sharing your ghosts!!

Nice time mate, I am sure you will grab it tomorrow morning, I'll try one more too when everybody sleeps 😁😂👌

Frustrating because most of the descent sectors 1's are mid or low .5xx .... looking at my PB replay....that was a .7xx 😂
We will see if we can find some time.

Good luck!

I may have reached my limit with Grand Valley. This might be the best I can do.

Well, it was a fun one to learn what the various settings of the steering wheel can do. Now to see if these work with any other vehicle or track

I might still come back to it though. I so want to be in the top 200.
