Just an idea - anyone up to adding friends on PSN. I think that way times will show on leaderboards across the game? I have no friends at the moment :) PSN is: backyardspecial9
Great idea, I'll add you later.
It would be a good idea to make a list of those who want to be added so that anyone who wants can have the live ranking of this great community.

Ahh yes doh ofc!! Yes the car has been mildly modifed since I bought but it wont run that PP rating in the TT will it?
I'm not sure what tires i had on before I did the TT.
Ah, of course, I should have realised that. Thanks.

This old Porsche is a blast to toss around the Ring. The goal was to get under 40s. I just barely made it.

Any extra time I can unlock here will be a bonus. I messed up quite a few corners, especially the right hander leading to the long uphill section. Will invest some more time because this car is a joy to drive, but a quasi 10 min lap is not for the faint of heart.

I wonder if there is something wrong with my settings. As soon as I get some lift off oversteer it is game over. Terrible experience so far.

Probably needs left foot breaking to balance it. common trait for rear weight biased cars like old 911s or lotus in earlier GTs

definitely does .... this makes me miss my wheel very much . . not many people can control any car with brakes/throttle balance and using it simultaneously..

wellp, Ill buy one again, until than I'm just bashing my ds4 buttons lol

Man it's just to long to focus for me 🤣, and after a few times hitting the grass after 8 minutes my motivation is gone again.

Car wise, it's great though, handles great and realy has that older handling feeling to it... certain curbs are off limits though and realy makes you airbus your way out....
That's not realy the reason I missed somany apexes in this lap 🤣🤣

Screwed up some vital corners of the Ring, I realy need to keep having focus after the first carrousel that's my nemesis....focus, and when you are off your line after the carrousel it's very hard getting it back in.

So nothing great in terms of my leaderboard but a descent gold lap 😁

After reading this you'd think the guy barely reached bronze... well... nope, just a "decent" gold placing him in top 100 in the world 🤣

Since PD rudely interrupted our ability to get data to produce weekly results, @crome and @newmedia_dev have been working hard in the background to get things up and running again. We're mostly there, to the point where the results for the three most recent TTs should be up today; here are the first late results, for TT198 at Autodrome Lago Maggiore - Full Course in the Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO '65.

Given we are using new processes and some workarounds, there is a chance of error, so please shout if you see something that doesn't seem right.

An impact of the new way is that I will stop doing interim results along with the weekly final results; a small price to pay for at least being able to carry on.

Many thanks to you guys for the hard work restoring the leaderboards!!

Starting to get a feel for the 911 here. I reached a reasonable level of consistency on the GP circuit and got a decent run on the Nordschleife. After some late-night (for me anyway) lapping I went to bed thinking gee, I just edged past @Gomario JSP but when I woke up - nope - he just passed me!!! ☺️ great lap sir!!

I’m getting used to the sponginess of the cars suspension but the Nordschleife carousel is still killing me - never getting the launch out of it that I need, or getting ejected from it entirely…spinning round and round and round…

MY PURPOSE IS RESTORED!!!

The results are now up to date, with TT199 at Yas Marina Circuit in the Ferrari F50 '95 and TT200 at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP Layout No Chicane in the YangWang U9 '24 done.

For TT 200 we ran into a small data problem that we cannot overcome. The overall impact is minor and in terms of the people on our board, it affects the two last places, one of @jimihemmy's incarnations and @OldandSlow. If it is any consolation for you two, your stated results are in all likelihood a bit better than they were in reality. Either way, sorry that we can't sort that out for you - all letters of complaint straight to PD please!

Maybe I'm crazy for thinking this, but the 911 RS has magical handling. It's just so forgiving, any mistake made is purely the drivers' fault. The real challenge is finding the limit since it's so high, clearly I have a long way to go since I only broke 10 minutes after 3 laps.

Against my better judgement I went back to Trial Mountain with that horrible GT3 R and, after a lot of laps and frustration, was only able to drop down a little over a tenth or so, down to a 1:52.076.

This thing just won't turn most of the time...aside from when it does and puts you into the inside wall because you aren't prepared for it to...or the violent snap oversteer it is also prone to. But when you need it to turn...nah?

What am I missing here?

ye it is, but it's allergic to curbs.. I did 9:52 on my first lap just driving around and than I was thinking, ok I can do like 10 sec faster just dont hit the curbs.. next lap I did 9:49 by hitting all big curbs possible... idk if I'll improve.. Ill have a look on Akagi's time

morning!

I ran a few laps again on the Ring, the two laps before I binned around the same split times in the very last corner..... I could cry....🤣, one I went into deep and bouncing of the curb onto the straight..... about half an hour lost 🤣, next one was an invalidation on the.... left side before the last corner ....pure tears....🤣

But... 3 time It was a reseved last corner but ok-ish 🤣
I absolutely nailed some corners along thr way....and absolutely failed some to... but across the line in 9:41.193 I think well into the 40's is definitely possible but yeah......focus problems.... 🤣

Not sure I want to post my time after that 😆 congrats @ADAM18, amazing!

Oh what the hell… mileage was run, mistakes were made, bones (would have been) broken. Struggled to get my eye in yesterday. Quantity of clean laps are at a premium, so there’s an inevitable clenching of cheeks towards the last part of the lap, but it’s starting to make sense now.

It’s very frustrating at times, but equally extremely satisfying to string a few perfect (for me) corners together. Still a couple of places where I’m losing large chunks of time though which I need to work on. This will do for now.

Try a different car? 458? 296? AMG? The 911 ’17? R8?
