TBF I think that too! 😂
I do as well, but in the opposite direction - why is my car slower and/or why doesn't it turn

Clearly I should add on AXC's new magnetic shift paddle add on. That'll solve the problem! (It probably would help shift more rapidly on something like this Red Bull)

The chase cam really illustrates exactly how small this circuit is...it looks like it was designed for 3/4-scale vehicles

At least it's only one vehicle, because that's about all that fits here.

Hi everyone,

I’m new to your forum, although I’ve been following it from a distance for quite some time. However, I’m a veteran of the time trials in Gran Turismo 7, even if I’ve eased off the training a bit lately.

Today, I’ve decided to finally join in because, in my constant pursuit of improving and understanding the game better, I could really use your experience and feedback.

I noticed what seems to be a “cheat code.” At first, I thought it was just luck, since the car’s behavior barely changed. But this time, the difference is huge: the car feels completely transformed.

The “cheat code” I’m referring to is the roll cage on this particular car. The game normally treats this part as a cosmetic upgrade, but it actually seems to affect the car’s performance and handling despite the BOP.

So I’m looking for volunteers who believe they’ve already reached the limit of their lap times to try this modification and give me feedback to see whether my observation is correct.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My username is Doreamon.
Welcome… I’m sure if you share the car people would test it!

Weird week. The TT I thought I'd not Bronze(Monza) I easily did in 3 laps, the one I thought I'd easily, took me awhile and just barely. lol

Hey! That is the exact same livery I have been using ever since I got the car. I love it. I may look for a different one that goes with the new movie if anyone has made it.

I'm not on the Facebooks but was searching for something today and even a quick read was very entertaining...

Four seconds? Hmmm, let's see if we can get to the bottom of it...

Correct, it's the 100k rigs.
I think I made some comments in that one, or at least one just like it. I guess really if you don't know how to be fast, you could feel that way. I would suppose, all of us have felt this way one time or another.
snc
And then you see Calster with pad on p2 ;d
That was the big point I bought up in a couple of the posts I jumped in. 🤣
This is a recurring theme of posts on the Facebook GT7 group - “I drove a perfect lap and yet there a people going x seconds faster. They must be cheating somehow”.
Once they figure out it's not cheating, you get told, 'you have no life' 😒🤣🤣

If you use those gloves then a murse over your shoulder would be a great addition.
I personally drive with chainmail gloves.
Is this the famous OJ Simpson glove… it can’t be! “If the glove don’t fit you must…” ah forget it 😂

I do not like what you are insinuating sirrrr... these sir, are, Laboratory Experiment gloves.........but yes, the murse would make it totally doable. 🤪 🤪🤣 annnnnnnnd, they didn't help. 😒

What an idiot!
The car I was talking about is the Porsche from this week’s time trial — I forgot to mention that if you install the roll cage, despite the restrictions, the car’s handling changes!

My reference lap without the roll cage was around 9:41.xxx.
Once I installed the roll cage, I dropped to around 9:39.xxx — roughly top 60 — just on the first lap. I’m aiming for a 9:38, maybe even a 9:37.

But the conclusion is undeniable: the roll cage changed the car. So I wanted to hear other people’s feedback to see if my feeling was correct, and also to share the tip.

I'll try it out today. In what way is the handling of the car changed in your opinion? Less oversteer?

Morning folks

Well I thought I would hate the Monza combo! Guess what?...... I do! 😁🤣🤣
I don't know what the heck is going on with the physics but Lesmo 2 is just not doable on the controller for me, as soon as I toutch the curb all rotation is gone, what a terrible experience.... let's pray this is enough

Very difficult week for a lot of people to earn golds, crazy set of timetrials!

See ya

No worries, I’d be happy to hear your opinion about my question regarding the Nürburgring time trial.
I am so far away from silver, so I don't know if a roll cage would help me, way too slow with automatic gears I think, but I will try. :)

Edit.

Before roll cage: 10:03.482 +5.37%
After roll cage: 10:07.374... :embarrassed::lol:

Clearly the manual gearbox helps a lot to gain time, but your opinion interests me as much as the others. I want to see if, like me, you notice the difference in the car's behavior and if you gain time despite the BoP applied

Damn, on a GT7 Facebook group I had 5/6 people who improved their lap times and found more stable car behavior — apparently for you it doesn't work. Thanks for trying anyway."
