I don't like the abuse of the track either and PD should define more strict limits for Le Mans.

Impressive you got the car to a 3:27 😱 I am at 3:30

I feel like there used to be more stringent track limits but maybe I'm misremembering. It's a lot easier once you ignore the track limits, unfortunately. As long as you have two wheels on a kerb it's safe in the game's eyes, you're probably leaving a good second or so on the table just in keeping it within the white lines

Well, it's not like they are going from 7th gear to 1st gear in a second. Be careful what gets complained about, PD likes to fix things with a hammer. 😒
This...

The track limit after the exit of the second Mulsanne chicane is bizarre. Random, barely visible white line? Sure, why not!

But in the chicane it is the curb which is about 30 feet further inwards from the very visible white line.

I had more trouble hitting bollards before the crazy limits. 😂
To be honest, not looking forward to this TT. Looking at the times of people I run very close to, vs what the world tour aliens are doing, this TT is going to be expensive to my DG score. Like a rerun on Laguna 🤬. So, giving up on the Deep Forest top 100 goal and hitting this. And..it doesn't help that I completely suck on the first and last sectors of this track. At least it's with fast cars, I do enjoy the fast cars.
But first, got to go back outside and finish digging a post hole and a couple cable trenches. So I will feel like total crap when I race tonight.

I'm probably not gonna be in a much better boat. I'll probably have a couple more go's at Deep Forest, but then I need to focus on this latest nasty TT before I go on vacation Friday morning, as I won't be back until the following Thursday, and thus it'll (thankfully) be over. So wherever I stand ~Thursday night, timewise, is where I'm gonna be.

I can almost never get these things to turn on the first chicane (after the Dunlop curve). The first Mulsanne chicane I usually can do OK on, but the second one I typically cannot get it to turn right whatsoever and lose a bunch more time there. That left curve just before the small straight and last pair of chicanes is hit or miss for me because you literally can't see it, and then the final chicane (the first of the pair is usually OK) is just...really hard not to hit that sausage right at the exit.

And then yes, there are bollards to hit, to add to the fun.

And by "fun", I mean "screaming".

Has anyone experienced anything different and unusual using a leaderboard ghost. Ive tried a few TTs past couple weeks and something has changed for me. Ghost aren't consistently visible. They disappear for large periods of time. Is this a new known issue or have I messed up settings somewhere?
It could happen before to me, ghost could disappear here and there for a half of a sec or maybe even a sec sometimes.

But it is now? Anyone else?
I have not noticed it when I have my gap set to.3 or .4s. When we had the kart TT I set the gap to .1s and I saw it then. I assumed it was when I was actually faster or overlapping the ghost. Then as it pulled ahead it would pop back.

Is this issue only for those that have ghosts set real close? I’m thinking that the change might be that they don’t show the ghosts now if it is overlapping your car? 🤷🏼‍♂️

It doesn't matter what gap I set. The yellow ghost marker will also pop on and off the map.

Hi all, quick pit stop for me here.. i had a go in the GT86 and yeah, not my fave. I think with Sports Hards this would have been a banger but the lack of communication/bizarre tyre squeal makes it very frustrating to understand how to be fast. I got under 1:51 and I think that’ll do.

Yeah Le Mans? I’ll pass.. as @pcmfocus alluded to I had a go, couldn’t see a thing from the drivers seat in VR..!

I’m guessing that’s why we didn’t have many track limits complaints @half_sourly, none of us in VR could see that we had exceeded them thanks to that banner!

Hi Fellas,

Little time spend on the time trials and the forum peeps, I just don't have the motivation to realy push, life is just crazy...
I didn't want to try le Mans but I was stupid enough to come across the line and actually set a time...
Did some laps again in the Porsche as that seems to be the car to be looking at the international board, a 26.7 will hopefully do the trick as I have absolutely no desire to spend more time on this one... not my thing

Did try the Ferrari, that thing sound absolutely insane from 4th gear 😱😋

Im 2 secs off gold time in le mans, i probably can shave off max 1 sec on my own ,then need to watch some videos maybe. Really enjoy driving that porsche ,but those times at the top are just unbelievable insane... Got down to 1.27.9 , maybe there is a chance for a gold after all if i can nail every single corner ,but its going to be tough

Hey fellas (and any not-fellas that might be here) - been lurking around for a bit, but not much time to drive or post. Half the family is away, so you’d think I’d have all the time in the world, but work and the other half of the family demanding more time and focus (in a good way) means long sessions are not available right now.

That said, I love sports cars at Le Mans! Tried all the cars and the BMW is actually my favorite, it’s just not quite quick enough, but it does ride the curbs so much better than the Porsche. The speed of the 963 though can’t be ignored. Squeezed in a few runs and managed to get into the 3:25 range. I dropped a couple of tenths in sector 1 to my best, but otherwise this might be as fast as I go around here - not going to do much for my DG edge score though! A 3:24 seems impossible, never mind 3:21 😱

Edit: I ran this time yesterday evening and it looks like I’ve already dropped 50 places! ABS weak, everything else off.

As some may have noticed, I always try and run some retro themed livery on all my race cars for these events, and fortunately the back-catalogue for Porsche is huge!
