What's the reason that Kaz is so against street circuits?
It takes a lot of time to scan city area for track without interference but mostly it COSTS lots of licensing for all the background businesses for proper imaging, not to mention the cost paid to the city for permissions....
It all comes down to the power of ¥¥¥, £££, $$$, €€€.

Is he? There's plenty of street circuits in GT.
It's something I've seen mentioned on here without any further explanation.

There's Tokyo, La Sarthe, Mount Panorama and Nurburgring. I wouldn't count Grand Valley or Trail Mountain as street courses myself, despite being decorated with road lines.

You really have a weird opinion on what a street circuit is. Tokyo, yes, the others, no, they're road courses.

Note also my post doesn't contain a number. There have been many street circuits in past GTs like all the versions of Tokyo, all the SSRs, Rome(s), London, Paris(s), Madrid, Citta di Aria, Hong Kong, New York etc. So he's clearly not against them.

What a bizarre reply.

You might want to Google what a street circuit is before claiming my 'opinion' is weird. Because whatever you think it is, you're wrong.

I have to agree with @daan as to the tracks mentioned:
Le Sarthe otherwise known as the Le Mans track does have public roads as part but it is not a street circuit.
Mount Panorama otherwise known as Bathurst is also a circuit that has use of public roads.
Nurburgring is a well known race circuit that does allow civilian traffic to run laps for a price but does not use public roads.

La Sarthe counts as a street circuit despite not all of it being drivable by the public and comes from a rich era of French street circuits that seemed to favour a mix of public roads and purpose built sections. The Bugatti Circuit I dont believe uses any public road and uses part of the dedicated La Sarthe circuit.
You can drive the entirety of Barthurst for free, although its got something stupid like a 36mph speed limit which is strictly enforced, meaning its treated exactly the same as any other public road in Australia.
Nurburgring is a bit of a halfway house as it is treated as a public, derestricted, private toll road during touristenfahrten, but not specifically allocated as a public road under German law, despite being governed by German law as though it were a public road during touristenfahrten.

I don't need to search for a definition. I know what it means.

Those are all road circuits. Road ≠ Street.

You're contradicting yourself here. A "public" "private" toll road? It's a one-way, private toll road except when it's being used as a race circuit. It is never a public road at any point and that's why your car insurance generally won't cover you if you drive on it.
