Mucky lenses are the least of my problems. G29 seems to be completely screwed. As if I haven’t just blown £300 on PSVR2 to now need to blow another £300 on a new wheel 😭😭😭

Yeah I’m looking into that as I have a shifter too. Could then sell the pedals I guess.

I’m just so reactant to buy another Logitech as this is the second wheel of theirs to fail on me.
I get where you're coming from.

I can only relate my experience with Logitech. On the wheel front, over the last 20+ years, I've owned a Momo (ancient), DFGT, G27, G29 (still in service, though not used much) and most recently and in current use on my rig, the GPro kit. The only wheel to fail was the 27 power supply, called Logitech USA to buy another and they sent me one free of charge. That was 10+ years ago though. The 27 also lost its encoder wheel when I let a ham handed orangutan friend go all beast mode on it and that was its swan song. Probably coulda' fixed it cheaply enough but I wasn't really playing racing games at that time and sent it off to the clearing at the end of the path.

So far as I know, the 29 pedals will hook up to the 923. The only difference I noticed between the 27's pedals and the 29s was some stiffer springs. You may be able to just buy the wheel without the pedals, if you go the Logitech route at any rate.

You know what… the G923 is a really great wheel - especially at its discount price range now. I dunno if the force feedback is weaker than my G29 - could be psychological - or I’ve just not got the settings right (currently 8).

However, back on topic, I think the G923 definitely helps with the sickness side of things! The Trueforce really helps with the immersion as you can feel the track surface and gear changes in your hands and to a lesser degree through the frame of my rig (Playseat challenge).

I don’t have a dedicated play-space so I’m not investing in anything that can’t be easily folded and packed away or attached to a folding rig.

I didn’t have time to plug in my SimHub bass shakers but for a quick 30 mins on my lunch break it was really great!

I was brave and took out some single seaters. Started at Monza. Wow - just wow. It’s sooo good. I’ve been to Monza in real life so took the opportunity to glance at the areas I’d been to whilst in a Sophy race.

Then decided to have a go at Brands Hatch, somewhere I’ve been to many times - did this in my Mansell Red 5 replica… oh my! Paddock Hill didn’t help 🤢. I don’t like that my head moved as I went up and down the hill.

Then I took a SuperFormula to Spa… Eau Rouge. If you’ve not driven this in real life it’s completely different to how you experience it in VR - again not great for the stomach - but the steepness is insane.

I then ran out of time and I’ve felt a bit off this afternoon. I didn’t eat my ginger biscuits as I’d run out so might need to invest in some more and maybe some proper anti-sickness pills.

Day off tomorrow so I’m going to have some more fun tomorrow before the kids get back from school. My son still doesn’t know I’ve got PSVR2…

How old is it? They have a two year warranty
Yeah it’s 5 years old now… still shouldn’t die that soon in my opinion. Pedals and Shifter are now on eBay.

Did over 129km today - 50% of that at Le Mans in my R18… so good! Won a quick Sophy race too.

Did try the Nurburgring but it was too much 🤢

I assume you've been told this a bunch already, but eventually the motion sickness will go away and never come back.

It took me 2 weeks I think.

Yeah everytime it gets better!

Trying to take it slow and can only really play a handful of times a week with kids in the house. Today was a day off so I had everything going, PSVR2, bass shakers, fan - it’s probably the closest you can get at home without a motion rig.
