on pro disable new reprojection algorithm to fix hud bugs
This is what I do now. It would be nice to have the clearer side view but it is not important when the HUD is all garbled, so I go for HUD clarity.

without it on pro its just same as on base ps5 but bugs were too much for me.
This kind of sucks but I think us Pro users still see some additional smoothness and draw distance over regular PS5 users, though I think it is subtle.
Overall TL;DR - if you're a glasses wearer (high prescription or otherwise) and on the fence about lens inserts - go ahead and get them.
I used vr-lens-lab which are very good but expensive. Also now with Trump's stupid tariffs these have got a whole lot more expensive.

I'm switching to contact lenses soon which should improve my vision more so over my glasses so I am wondering on recommendations for US sourced plano lens protectors as I am not smudges the fragile PS5 lens with eyebrow oils and such like.

Not sure to understand what's the point of that change ? To allow you to remove easily the silicon light blocker to wash it ?
I couldn't really tell either! I guess for quickly removing light shield to play in a dark room, but maybe also different "depth" adjustment on the light shield? Not sure. They said "and tweak guide" in title but did they ever tweak anything?

But can the PSVR2 really work in a dark room ? Mine does not like when the room is too dark. And I would not want to play without the silicon light blocker.

Apparently if using infrared lights you can use it in a very dark room without the light shield so no fogging of lenses or claustrophobic feeling. I don't know if I'd go through all that trouble but it might be more comfy to use that way. I always have every light in the room on for good tracking.

chatted a bit in the comments under the video and that's what they replied : they prefer to play without the light shield, for comfort : no pressure on the face, no heat, no fog

but you need to install infrared lights

That's cool. Thinking more about it, I might try it. The worst part for me is having that rubber thing flapping around on my nose and face, and the lack of ventilation. Maybe they're onto something?

I don't mind it at all, the only minor grip I have is that when the room is well light (mainly due to sunlight during the day) some light manage to sneak in along the temples, so I am carefull to not have any bright light source behind me.

Do we have the choice on this setting anyway ? (I hope it will be available soon, seeing how it was beneficial on No Man's Sky)

I mean you can turn it on. It just doesn’t look great.

I did not know it can be activated.

Here’s Jordan’s very good review of the PS5Pro. There’s an entire paragraph on PSVR2:
