I already installed the magnetic facial interface, had an issue with the new screws, they came with some really tiny textile tape around the heads and I am not sure if you need to keep or remove the tape and it has been complicated to screw them in place. It seems to hold quite well now and I can remove the silicon light blocker very easily, cool to wash it conveniently, and to clean the lenses easily too.

Not tested to play without in the dark because I am still waiting for the IR lights.

I can play in total dark because the TV is bright enough with the screen surround to be picked up by the cameras.

I normally come on here monthly just to say how good VR in GT7 is, so I’m back to say… VR is sooooo good in GT7! The pro imo was definitely worth the purchase. The sensation of actually being in the car and at the actual track is mind blowing to me. Just for this reason GT7, for me is the best!

Hello everyone,
I recently read somewhere that the Spec III update will also include an update for VR. Is there any more detailed information available?
I bought a PS 5 Pro today and hope that once I have the console, I will see a significant difference in VR compared to the basic PS 5. That's the only reason I bought the PS 5 Pro.

What kind of improvement are you expecting ?

The PSVR2 hardware is what it is... I cannot see any possible improvement based on software.... The limitations is the hardware.

where did you read that ?
Yes, I just don't remember anymore.
Maybe it was a video on YouTube. I'll take a look and if I find anything, I'll link it here.

Improving the hud would be very much appreciated - and totally software based.
That's right, that's why I was surprised. But VR on PS 5 Pro doesn't have any problems. Maybe that's what was meant.

Thanks, because here, nobody told anything like that, including the site admins that publish extensive articles on everything concerning GT7 (among other subjects), and if there was anything said about VR, I can tell you that we would be very very impatient. At the moment we just hope for some improvement (and for me it is a very tiny hope).

I would welcome improvements and some timing/position data pages to the Multi-Function Display. All the data usually displayed in the HUD would be exceptionally well received.

Wow thanks guys, I did not know about IR Lights. Just ordered 2.
I always get tracking issue playing in the dark so I play with the lights on but find annoying the glimpse of light coming in from the side and reflecting on the lenses.

Well, I worked hard this year, I didn't spend much on life's comforts, so I think now I deserve and have done something for myself...

I haven't tested it yet, but I hope my multifocal lenses don't cause any problems, or I'll have to get reading glasses just for VR.

How did you score the 30th edition PS5 ?? Pro ?

I stumbled upon this video,
I am not fully caught up with what he is saying...
But he is speaking about VR2 and PS5 and the future of PS6....

I will let you decipher everything he is saying:

Congratulations on the most rewarding part of working hard. Toys! He who dies with the most, wins!

Whichever part of your normal glass lens are for approximately 2 meters away, order some lens inserts for that prescription. There are various companies making/selling them now. I have mutli-focal length glasses myself and I ordered for the distance prescription and they work fantastically. The VR "screen" actually has better clarity through the lens inserts than my glasses do.

No VR update that I could see, I don't have the powerpack so not sure if there is anything in there. At this point I'd be happy to pay for a VR specific update.

Anyway the new tracks look amazing in VR, I've only tried the 296 GT3 and F3500-B and both look and feel great, the GT3 dash is a little blurry as it's a bit further back but still looks good.

I’m really disappointed that there’s no PSSR update with spec III.

My only hope is that the spec III update was a long time coming in before PSSR was available, so that a future update now after spec III might include it. If not, I’m gonna be really disappointed.

It is paid DLC
I know, I bought it. My post was an anwser to "No VR update that I could see" <- "same here" = I did not see any update, and I added the precision that my answer was also for the power pack (because he was not sure if the power pack had VR changes or not)

My (optimistic) guess is because PSSR is getting a major update in 2026 with FSR 4 PD is waiting for that

Yeah, I wouldn't expect a PSSR update from PD.

However! I was hoping for a UI update...
