Sony PS5 Pro to get performance upgrade thanks to PSSR 2.0 before the end of March

A bit of hopium for us VR users. I'd imagine Sony/PD will use GT7 as another use-case example for their proprietary tech.

Not a pip about VR in the article though...

And as you alluded next, there is also a serious amount of faffing around with tools, settings and what not in order to have a system that is functionnal, and even there, you may have to go back in settings and so on because it may as well cease to function as wanted with time.
Keyword here for me is functional; I don't know what kind of magic PD has to make the VR experience both seamless and look this good on a base PS5, but it is exceptional.

My PC's own specs are similar, if slightly below a base PS5, but iRacing looks like utter dogwater compared to GT7 VR. I guess that's just the benefit of an enclosed ecosystem that can squeeze so much out of one set of hardware specs versus whatever the PSVR adapter for PC has to do.

But it's also how much of a pain in the ass it is to get VR working on PC at all at times. As mentioned many times already, the only thing I have to do sometimes on PS5VR is reset my environment because my desk was/is cluttered. Other than that, it literally is plug and play. On PC, I have to adjust setting for every track on iRacing; Daytona is near unplayable.

The only thing PCVR has for me is that it's not horizon locked and seat adjustments. There are some cars on GT7 that I refuse to drive because the stupid seat is so far forward I'm basically eating the steering wheel.

The fix for this is to push the passthrough button on the bottom of the VR headset once your race has started. Then move your head in the direction you want to adjust, hold it there and push the button again. Here are the direction adjustments

Closer = driver will move away from steering wheel
Further away = driver will move closer to the steering wheel
Lower = driver will sit up higher
Higher = driver will sit lower

I have to do this every time with the Cayman GT4

edit: if you're good enough and have done it enough times, you can actually achieve the correct position before the race starts. You just have to remember which car has an incorrect seating position.

 Yessss. I do this all the time. Especially for the Lancer Evo IV and Celica road car. If I don't adjust my position, I feel like Stretch Armstrong being so far from the steering wheel of those cars.

You can do this on the initial play area setup and it will work for most cars, but there are some that don’t like the cayman

Make the choice for play area seated, not standing, then lean in the desired direction, and the set play area button will move inside the space - the press the button

I just pressed the ⬛ 3x to change the lighting. Haven't tried the other locations.
Interesting. I tried the 3x trick and it didn't initiate the fast moving sunlight. Tried where you did and at the Café. I have standard PS5 if that may make a difference

Interesting. I first noticed it when I looked at the Alfa 155 when PSVR2 debuted. I had a standard PS5 at the time( Upgraded to PS5P later).

I was trying the different lighting. Left it at night and it started to cycle on its own. Thought it was automatically part of the demo.

Edit: Checked different showrooms and only the Pit Garage 1 has the time multiplier function.

Humble apologies. I was in the wrong Pit Garage. It works for me in the Pit Garage 1, passing 24 hours in 60 seconds flat. The G-force nearly sent me into orbit.

It'd be nice if it worked in the more interesting locations
