Maybe you have covered this already somewhere, but what is the math rationale behind the tire size calculator? Is it a method to account for the game physics for the rest of the calculator as it relates to the game?

Really enjoying the Pro Tuner so far, thanks again.

Quick question, possible bug... No matter what I set ARB stiffness to, it always recommends 1/1. Is this intentional?
That shouldn’t be the case. If you upload some screenshots of the app values you have entered and the outputs I can see where the issue lies.

The tire size needs to be calculated for the top speed/gear ratio equation. It’s all as per Real world equations and physics.

I maxxed and minned the ARB stiffness modifier, to no effect.

Thanks again for taking a look.

You stability figures are positive, they need to be a -0.28 and -1 respectively
Thanks! I will try that out and test it.

Can those 2 numbers ever be positive? I haven't seen it.

I assumed that the word "(under)" means that the absolute value was used.

It is still difficult to switch to voice keyboard on mobile to type a "-" because the numeric keyboard that is being used for android does not have that key enabled...

having the same 5-6-5 issue not matter what I change, what am I doing wrong 😑

From the look of the email you purchased the lite version, Wouldn’t be eligible for discount, I’m afraid. The discount is only for the expert version.
Hey. I haven’t used this in a while and was trying to download the spreadsheet latest version but wouldn’t work so came here and found out you have moved on to a web app now. Happy to sign up, is this discount code still available? I bought the expert version of the spreadsheet in dec'23

Absolutely it is yes, you just need to use the same email address that you used for the original version!

Would it be possible to save all the BoP values in the app by default? It's so punishing to get them out of the game (you have to create a lobby, add BoP, then get the data). I just want to look at ideal shift points for some of the BoP'd Gr3 cars. Also, it would be nice to just have the screenshots of default and BoP car power curves just saved in the app instead of having to upload each time.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out which GR3 car would (at least theoretically) lose the least acceleration when short shifting by 500rpm, 1000 rpm, 2000 rpm etc., based on their power curves.....any ideas?

I've bookmarked the protune web address to my phone's Home Screen. I tried looking for the actual app in the App Store but can't find it. Is the protune website that I've been using in safari considered the app?

Hi all. First time using the app. I purchased the full version. I’ve been following the tutorial and inputting the stats of my Civic I want to tune. On the suspension settings page when it asks about downforce it only lets me calculate the rear. For example the front is 110 and it’s telling me to set the rear at 66 when the lowest I can set it to is 100? Any help. Also is there a list of what tracks are deemed fast/technical. I’m trying to tune for Dragon Tail Gardens. Thanks.

Hi Dan,

Great to hear your getting into the app and tuning a FF is a great start! Hope you feel and see the benefits.

You can auto calculate the Rear downforce which is designed to create a balanced downforce load compared to the spring rate. Your best bet is either use manual rear DF setting, or raise the front downforce until the minimum rear DF is calculated.

With the track selection, fast track are those which have long straights and fewer turns and vice versa
For technical tracks. I would say dragons tail is a little bit of both so try both setups and see which is fastest for you!

Good luck and enjoy, any other questions don’t hesitate to drop a post.

Hi, this is a massive task and not something I can commit to at the moment. Apologies.

Hello,
Just purchased this app trying to make this 'beast' usable, but seems like the gear ratios are bugged. They're way too short, and aside from final ration and the final 2 speeds, it's impossible to set to those values.

Can you help me identify what am i doing wrong ?
Let me know if you need any more details. Thanks

Hey man!

Thanks for the support, which ecu screenshot did you upload? It need to be the one that you select which ecu not the power adjustment ones.

I've uploaded the first photo attached
So you did, sorry! That’s always the mistake people make when they first upload it. I can’t actually see any issue with the settings you have entered. Try to tweak the min corner speed to get the gearing correct placed.

That seems to be the case. But there's also another weird issue. I've done the file upload and ran the calculator again on windows and it worked great.
But on linux, no matter what browser i use, there seems to be something wrong with the image. I've shared the image from ps app on phone on discord, and download it from there. But on linux, it downloads as .webp which i have to convert to jpg and that seems to mess something up, i've tried png and jpg and different apps to convert, it still calculates the ratios too short

That would be because when you’re converting the image the resolution is probably getting altered.

Hi all,

Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is getting on the act so far? I know maybe the games lost a bit of lustre with updates and new content falling short of expectations.

The fact I don’t get many messages on here anymore either means the app is working unbelievably well with no issues or nobody is playing with it anymore! 😂

Google analytics suggests the first answer, which is good. That being said, there’s always room for improvement. I want to start a little bit of a discussion on features everyone thinks would be beneficial.

I have been working in the background on a couple of features which I think will be interesting and I would love to hear everyones thoughts on these and also anything else they would like to see.

The first one is an AI race engineer chat feature. The majority of this element has been completed the last piece of the puzzle to work out which service to use. As some of you may know AI services come with a cost so I’m trying to find the best solution that doesn’t cost the Earth but delivers the performance that we require. Do you think this is something that you as a user would be interested in paying for or am I wasting my time here? Let me know.

The second feature I have been working on which is still in early stages is my own telemetry data logging. This was always a feature I wanted to integrate into the app and have the app feed from the data that this builds. However, it’s just not possible to use the data logging in any kind of mobile device without it being a native app (which I just don’t want to get involved in). So I have drafted a standalone piece of software which will be desktop based and the idea is that you use this telemetry software to do test laps and then the AI feature analyses the results to provide to the user with driving tips or even tuning advice!

Please feel free to let me know your thoughts positive or negative I don’t take offence!

Phil

Hey, sorry Im only new here so still coming to terms with everything but I’ve been getting all my dif Lv’s coming in at 5/6/5 I had a quick skim over the forum and I’ve seen the issue come up a bit I just can’t seem to find the fix or what I’m missing. Also for Gr.B races and tracks that require dirt tyres or snow tyres there is no option to select. What would you suggestion be when it come to selecting a tyre from the list.

Me personally I would choose “comfort soft”
Then a bit of “R&D” to get suspension where I like it

With the LSD settings you can add 5 or 10 to each value depending on your preference just do some testing to get it where you like it

The LSD levels you’re getting are because the power level is high with the least grip tires.
