Let's be honest, it's a pretty mundane list of 2000's era JDM, German & US cars. Pretty much all will come to GT in time.

I could understand clamoring for models like the Ford Escort RS Cosworth, Peugeot 205 GTI, Ford Escort MkII, Bugatti EB110, Jagaur XJR-15, Audi RS4 Avant, Audi Sport Quattro, MG Metro 6R4, Volvo T5-R. It's an unending list of interesting cars, many of which have never been in GT. It makes no sense to me to make wish lists for cars we know are highly likely to arrive. You just have to wait.

The FTO was a cracking little car in GT6. Easily one of my favourite front wheel drive cars so I would find it more exciting.

I hate how accurate this is.

Anyway, I suppose the only reason why I created this thread is because Forza 4 has all the cars I've mentioned. I consider them "obvious" because they're the sort of cars that I regularly see at Cars And Coffee. Hence why I got soo excited when the Blobeye Subaru Impreza WRX STi was added. But yes, it is a wishlist thread I guess...

It’s objectively a much better car, for sure. But you can say the same about the GR Corolla and the MC20, yet I see very little excitement for those cars. There’s one car that everyone is talking about and that is the ambulance.

I hope people are talking about the ambulance because it’s something different and not because they believe it’s a better fit for the game than the other cars in the update.

Definitely. It’s exciting because it’s a new type of vehicle.
 
I am not really interested in “new “ cars as they tend to be variations of the same model unless they are 1950’s to 1970’s cars that were iconic and groundbreaking cars that raced “ pure” cars,no ABS,Traction Control,cars that paved the way In Motorsport. The cars that fit the bill are great but can be counted on 2 hands. I lean more toward having newer races on existing tracks like full 24 hrs Le Mans etc where you can use classic cars as they were designed for rather than another track,unless of course it no longer exists,Hockenheim for example.Some of lesser known tracks would be cool,zandfoort,Caldwell and Donnington park for instance.

How long will we have to wait to receive seemingly "obvious" cars? A heap of them are still absent, despite being featured in earlier games. Here are just some of the cars that the game should have:

NB Mazda MX-5
NC Mazda MX-5
Mitsubishi Evo 9
Nissan Skyline R31 GTS-R
Toyota MR-2/MR-S
Toyota MR-2 Supercharged
Toyota Celica Gen 1, 4, 5 and 7
Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS300
Subaru Impreza WRX STi Gen 3
VW Golf GTi MK4, MK5 and MK6
Honda Civic EP Type R and EG6
Honda Integra Type R DC5
Mitsubishi Eclipse Gen 2
Mitsubishi FTO
BMW M5 E60
Dodge Challenger SRT8
Ford Mustang S197
Chevrolet Camaro SS Gen 4
Chevrolet Corvette C5

It confuses me as to why these vehicles aren't in because they're very popular among enthusiasts. These are the cars that PD should be focusing on before adding novelties such as an ambulance.

I would love to have the is300/altezza. I think its dumb they didnt add it to gt7. I am biased do to me having a gte swapped is300, so yes I would love this update already please. Lol

Well we got these four out of nineteen since the thread date:

  • Evo 9 February ‘24 (six months)
  • R31 May ‘24 (nine months)
  • C5 May ‘25 (one year and nine months)
  • FTO December ‘25 ( two years and four months)

We also got the EG6 Civic, Impreza WRX STI Gen 3 and the Challenger.
 
Straight missed the EG. That was in the same update as the R31.

Demon not the SRT8 arrived in Spec II.

Can't find the third gen Impreza. I see the second gen was added just before the thread was made in June '23.

I'd say the EG makes five out of nineteen. Who knows, PD might add the normally aspirated Challenger SRT8. They've done the two of the same model, but different specs for this game.
