Every once in a while I pull out my old Praiano tuned Ford GT '17 and each and every time I do so it's jaw-dropping joy driving this fantastic racing machine. That's what I did this afternoon. After giving all blood, sweat and tears yesterday with the full stock RCR Civic against its AI PD driven brother car at Grand Valley, I thought why not return for one more run and ultimate humiliation. Best 20 minutes today !

All lower class events are for road cars only so it cannot enter. Maybe you can use it in rally races lol
I've just bought the ID.R out of interest and checked. You can bring it down to 700pp and participate at the Schwarzwald events. Winning is well possible there, too. I've tried at Saint Croix. Unfortunately there are only like four events in that category.

It's possible as well to go down to 600pp or even less, so WTC 600 should be possible as well, and without fuel consumption there. However, how much fun that would be is an entirely different question...

So after all, that car is not completely useless :P

Well spotted :) I will try that when these races come back in the weekly challenges.

The ID.R is pretty good for non fuel events tbh.

This is the first Special event I cannot gold. I've pretty much forgotten how I even golded the original ones in-game so this is one I might have to just leave as silver because its just...impossible in my hands.

Well would you look at that. First parts got cutoff because I mistakenly told it to record 30 when it should've been an hour just to trim it, but yeah. Fuel Map 6 did the trick for me.

Mid-race rain shower made my attempt at the Tokyo WTC 800 a bit nervy. Running on slicks the final 4 laps as inters would’ve burnt up, trying to spot the drying line in the dark. It was sketchy but good fun.

RC F GT3 on normal difficulty. Started on mediums. Pitted end of lap 3 just as the rain started. Back onto mediums end of lap 6. Finished about 10 seconds ahead of the Viper, was further ahead but had a spin after straying off the dry line.

Surely no disqualification since it only changed tires TWICE. Not 7 times.

- Stock horsepower; minimum downforce and longer final drive.

- Started on Softs but there was an early downpour so I wasn't able to do a flying lap. Fuel Map 1 as always.

EDIT: Repeated the race, and finally did a flying lap.

For this week's challenges I used:
Gamepad | Automatic transmission | Hard mode

#5 WTC800 | Tokyo Expressway – East Clockwise
Mazda LM55 VGT (Gr.1) | PP 800 | RM tyres | FM 3>1 |
It was a dry race and I won it by a margin of 19 seconds. One pit stop after 6th lap. If it had rained, the gap from the rivals would have been greater.

#4 American Clubman Cup 700 | Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
Chevrolet Camaro ‘69 Race-Mod | PP 700 | RS tyres |
I wanted to try something new in this race and I chose Chevy Camaro ‘69 Race-Mod. It turned out to be stable and easy to drive car.

#3 Race of Turbo Sportscars | Grand Valley – Highway 1 Reverse
McLaren 650S GT3 ‘15 | PP 700 | RM tyres |
It was pretty easy race. After a collision and a U-turn, I managed to win it.

#2 Special Race – Renault Capture – One Make | Alsace – Test Course Reverse
Renault Captur S Edition '21 | PP 600 | RS tyres |
This race also was easy with well-tuned Captur.

#1 Jimny Cup | Grand Valley – South |
Suzuki Jimny XC ‘18 | PP 497 | RS tyres |
The final margin was 13 seconds.

For this livery I used a decail of “B4nn3d-Irony”

I got a Citroen GT Road Car from the 6-star roulette ticket

Idle thought while starting this week: It's so odd that the Jimny Cup exists in this game.

In a game where one-makes are almost exclusively special events, and the few permanent ones are for big families like the GT-R and Evo, they gave the Jimny one, despite there only being two of them and only one when they added the race type. And that one car was one that already had a race type for it in the game (the Kei cup), at that.

Of all the moves PD have made this gen, this is one I just have zero idea why they went against type so much for the Jimny of all things.

Because it's cute!

I’m surprised there’s no 4WD cup that includes all 4WD like the intro trailer. Without looking I think we only have Rally, Turbo 4WD, Jimny and full size Pick Up truck racing. There should be a 4WD Chilli dirt course race.

All that while, another more famous Suzuki model gets nowhere near the attention. I'd argue its more then capable of carrying this game.

Sure, but as stated by @Buckethead75 before, there are almost no non-fuel events in the game where it is allowed. Most of the lower PP events require a road car, while the categories with higher PP often enable fuel consumption. It's also not a VGT. So, not many choices left.

No mushrooms found, but pace is more than adequate.

- Stock horsepower; minimum downforce running on Racing Softs.

- Fuel Map 1; lift and coast on Lap 1 and the outlap (Lap 5) after pit stop. Short shift at 7000 rpm.

- Went all out on Laps 2 and 10.

Last event was a walk in the park with the 787B at 792PP, clearly a cheatcode. Wipers barely work for a few seconds so no need to switch tyres.

Got a BMW VGT as a reward.

911 GT3 R: Taught me a good lesson about steering inputs.

- 5 laps on FM1. ;)

Very twitchy, forcing me to steer gently especially when the downpour came. Overall a fun race with this. Will probably redo the race with a higher rear downforce.

And no, there's definitely no wallriding.

Setup is now locked in a vault.

I got on my PS5 last night got a nice session in I probably played for like 6 hours. Not just GT7 but a bunch games. I did the WC. I started with the Captur race. I used a stock version but I did slap on some RS tires. Fun vehicle not fun track
20969998150052556.webp

Next I did the Road Atlanta race. At first I was going to use the Corvette CX but I decided against and tried out the Camaro RM. I bought RS but forgot to equip them. I was wondering why the tires were squealing a lot. Then I realized it was on SM. The back end likes to get a little bit live with me so I started braking sooner to compensate for that. Other than that is a easy car to drive. The thing I love about is when I got on that back straight is the acceleration was outstanding.
20969889713122880.webp

Next I decided to use the Porsche 904 at Grand Valley. That is one of my favorite cars
20970916407746342.webp

Next I took the 962 to Tokyo. Good race great car. The rain came around lap 3 but it didn't get serious until lap 6 so I pitted and switched to Inters and used them the rest of the day.
20970205276046333.webp

Finally I did the Jimny race with the swapped version

For all my trouble I got..... a 2002 NSX :ouch: That has to be the worst car I have won. Not because it is a bad car I actually like it but to me it is not 6 star ticket worthy.

Six-Star cars are drawn from exactly two criteria: Brand Central; 480,000cr* or more.

The NSX Type R '02 is a 500,000cr car in Brand Central.

Really it's 500,000cr or more, just with the 480,000cr Mercedes-AMG GT3 '20 included in the list as well.

You know what in all of this time I have never paid attention to it in Brand Central. I usually see it in the UCD.

Went out in the “Viper”
IMG_2351.webp

Simple setup and detuned the ECU to 80% to make the braking zones a bit more tolerable.
IMG_2352.webp

The race was only dry for the first two laps so was just about balancing the throttle the whole race in the wet.
