Japanese FF Challenge 450: Mitsubishi FTO GP R. Completely stock, completely easy.
Pickup Truck Race: Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Haven't done this since I first started playing in 2024. Again, easy.
Nissan GT-R Cup: Nissan GT-R Premium Edition T-Spec. Absolutely glued, Handles sports softs like their Racing Softs.
World Touring Car 800:
Special Event
: Something something "Trash" Something. Joking aside, got it done first attempt out, felt way easier to grasp this car's quirks at Catalunya then it did at Deep Forest.

Also: Root of the issue with the Xiaomi, in my eyes anyway, is that its simply too much power for both the weight and size of the car while the brakes are too small to handle it all. So you cannot drive this car like a regular car. The Volkswagen ID.R is peak optimization of the power, weight and size so it unsurprisingly does everything you expect a racing vehicle to do. The Hyundai Ioniq 5N is actually a capable vehicle which doesn't feel overpowered and just needs better brakes. The Xiaomi, at least in this digital rendition, feels like a product from a company that hasn't quite grasped how to optimize all that power and speed yet.

That said, still better looking then the Cybertruck and that brick Jaguar is making.

This is one of the weeks where I've just... Given up. There's too much "Meh." - and too much "Meh" means I lose motivation to see it to the end.

1. The most interesting part of the week, but still fairly boring.
2. Very, very boring. The only thing of note was someone's Tundra going wide lap one and spinning out.
3. Screw this car. The SU7 Ultra is too quick, and it doesn't have the handling for such speed. I hate driving this car, and I hate every time this game asks me to drive it. Why can't we make use of the go-karts? Or the F1500-T? or have another F3500 race?
4. Nothing of note. Fairly easy. Boring, IMO.
5. I gave up after just a few laps. I picked the Mazda Atenza Gr.3, and it doesn't handle great. It's too bumpy, and it understeers. I didn't want to fight it for 12 laps, and so, I gave up. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

Taking advantage of GT7's broken 4WD physics.

My vendetta against 40-second rabbits shall never end.

That felt really good. Thanks for the therapy.

Profit.

"Hermann" made mincemeat of the grid.

That R8 ran on Hards, but will also not change tires after its pit stop. It was leading because the GT3R boxed earlier.

It's really fascinating how PD programs its AI to "cheat" to justify the Hard difficulty. Ain't no way a stock GT3R nor the R8 last 8-9 laps on the same conditions under the hands of the player on FM1 without employing the fuel saving methods.

I used the Lambo LP 640 & won at C-G-V. 2 pit stops & fuel map 6 most of the race. I suspect the Skylines are less difficult to control on the narrow roads. One easy fix for the lame rabbit 40 sec lead is that PD makes it so that the fastest AI car always start last!!

This isn't just limited to the 800 pp race, even the Super Formula race in the track. Someone in PD clearly forgot that not all players have GTWS level skills. It's subtle gatekeeping at this point.

Actually, there is a way to make it work, but it is abit of a lottery: Start a race when Serrano is third (Preferably behind L.Simon and T.Krause). No idea why, but those two in particular apparently stop Serrano from being a 40 sec rabbit and once that magical stop comes up (Coupled with Serrano's dumb strat of NOT taking tires), allows you to be within 10 seconds on Serrano with 4 laps to go.

Edit: Looking at the replay I saved, he basically can't even catch them for 7 laps straight.

Pretty much the same as wishing Haywood's Huracan NOT LEADING in a WTC 600 race.

PD is clearly aware that players employ no-stop tactics in 800 pp races, so they came up with that ridiculous programming in that CGV race.

Update: Found another AI driver that can actually stop Serrano. Bad news is, he's worse: Drumont. Had a attempt and not only did he have a massive lead to begin with but despite pitting two whole laps earlier then Serrano, still overhauled by a wide margin.

April – Week 1
For me, the selection of events of this week is not the most successful for three reasons: I don’t like the CGV track, don’t like Xiaomi, don’t like truck racing. For this week's challenges I used:
Gamepad | Automatic transmission | Race Difficulty - Hard

#5 | WTC800 | Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
F3500-A | PP 800 | RM tyres | FM 1 | 1 pit
In my first attempt, I used a Mazda LM55, but was only second, 11 seconds behind the leader. The next time, I chose the F3500-A and lost the race again. Then I made the gearbox shorter, and the car became much faster. In the end, I won by a margin of 9 seconds.

#4 | Nissan GT-R Cup | Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield
Nissan R32 GT-R V-spec II ‘94 | PP 700 | SS tyres
Starting this race, I was confident of an easy victory. I took the lead on 3rd lap and held it until the finish.

#3 | Special Race – Xiaomi SU7 Ultra – One Make | Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra ‘25 | PP 801 | RS tyres
My only desire in this race was to finish as soon as possible. Xiaomi may be a fast car, but it's out of control. All my attempts to adjust the suspension somehow were unsuccessful. I just drove carefully to the end and forgot about it.

#2 | Pickup Truck Race | Willow Spring International Raceway
Ford F-150 SVT Raptor ‘11 | PP 590 | RS tyres
During the race, I went off the track 2 times in the last corner, but arrived first.

#1 | Japanese FF Challenge 450 | Autopolis International Racing Course
Honda Integra Type R (DC) ‘98 | PP 450 | CS tyres
I had to use CS tyres to get into PP450. The race was pretty easy.

I had some more attemps with the WTC 800 race at CGV with a stock Gr.3 car. I could improve my average speed and fastest laptime, but still was far away from winning.

But today the AI seemed to get bored with watching my stupid attempts. With almost the same race time that had put me in P4 yesterday - today i won! 😜

As in the races before i opted for a stock 911 GT3 R with RS tires. The only setup change i did was lowering the rear wing a bit.
