My contenders for the upcoming races :

Honda N-ONE RS '22 - CS / 89 kW / 860 kg / 408.70 PP
Renault Captur S Edition '21 - CS / 125 kW / 1,234 kg / 408.90 PP
Nismo R34 GT-R Z-tune '05 - SM / 349 kW / 1,605 kg / 599.30 PP
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 - SH / 329 kW / 1,415 kg / 599.50 PP
Nissan R92CP '92 - RM / 558 kW / 940 kg / 799.90 PP

Track selection isn't the greatest this time in my book but the races should be fun anyway.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Captur the Flag

A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges goes live this Friday, June 5, when your console clock ticks past midnight. Five events, seven days to clear them, and the usual stack of bonus tickets waiting for anyone who works through the list...

Choices for the events. Gonna be honest: The WTC 600 and Neo-Classic will literally be on easy mode because I do not feel like playing lotto with the opponents and I have a severe headache so I do not feel like putting myself through those more then I need to (Granted I hate the Neo-Classic events anyhow, but I seriously cannot bring myself to do anything challenging while it feels like someone is going to town on my head with a Crowbar).

Reasonably fun week. FF Challenge is at a fun track and the field isn't that fast, slightly tuned Civic Si was far too much for them. One-make was just about possible with a stock car, just have to bully the AI or they'll lose you too much time. Would prefer if they'd do some more fun one-make races like the Civic one we had ages ago with traffic and rain. GT-R Cup anything around 620 PP should be enough, don't mind this version of Sainte-Croix although it's a shame we had it again this week even if it's with completely different cars. WTC 600 is quite tricky if you get one of the really fast grids, you'll need to be under 2:10 for those to even have a chance. I won with a 590 PP Corvette C5 on SH running low 2:11 and managed to get into the lead 2/3 into the last lap. Neo-Classic is a bunch of fun given the variable weather, opens it up to a lot of road cars and makes repeating it interesting. The AI will also sometimes pit an extra time on lap 9 which will give you an easy win, exactly what I had in a fully tuned 400R with a fully dry race.

This weeks cars:
full

No news about next week's challenges yet? (Just remembered that tonight I must hurry up and finish last week's, I wasted hours on the two TTs last sundays, worse pair for handless people like me)
At least I finally completed a full CRB week, although the Charger Safety Car kept snap oversteering into the wall at Grand Valley, even with RS tires on (don't know why it had them, too lazy and short on time to switch them back to stock)

My cars for the week.

Nissan was the theme this week. The Captur one-make was the only one I didn’t win, mainly because I left it stock. I got lucky with the Neo-Classic race staying dry with the AI pitting 2 times. Now onto the Power Pack races at some point.

Edit: the Power Pack rewards

I loathe the Neo-classical races. The disparity in pace between hard and normal difficulty for that race is what does it for me. I was in like 8th place or something and spun for no reason on hard around lap 6, so I retried on normal and won by over 40 seconds on fuel map 6 in the Porsche 962. These weekly challenges in general just need a refresher, too, they're stale.

Japanese FF Challenge 450: Suzuki Swift Sport '17. EZ peesy with my Cup car build.
Nissan GT-R Cup: Nissan GT-R Premium edition T-spec. Tina as per usual laying waste to the field.
World Touring Car 600: BMW 3.0 CSL. On Easy due to said headache but my Group 2 build felt good (if abit squirrely). One lucky roll with the AI and I think a run on Hard difficulty is possible.
Neo-Classic Competition: Mercedes CLK LM. Easy as well so I'm not worrying too much about strategy or car choice. Rains came about lap 6 so would've been funny to see what would've happened on hard.
Special Event: Brought out the Captur Cup build I made weeks ago as I figured this mostly handling track would be a good place to test it. Passed with flying colors.

And my prize from the Six-Star ticket:

As a now 70 Millionaire, the combined 6 Million (I predict anyway) from that upcoming update continues to look hardly like a dent to the wallet.

Retirement ! The first week of the rest of my life ! ;)
Got a bit more spare time now than before so what could I do but allocate this Friday to GT racing. Turned out I by no means needed that much time although I made two runs ( for the fun of it ) at each track.
So, all the results you see are from these second attempts.

Event 1 at Suzuka
Honda N-ONE RS '22 - CS / 89 kW / 860 kg / 408.70 PP / CRB ✅
Cute ! A cute little car on a cute little track. AI pace isn't too high so you can well stay below the PP suggestion.

WC_260605_B1.webp

Event 2 at Tsukuba
Renault Captur S Edition '21 - CS / 125 kW / 1,234 kg / 408.90 PP / CRB ✅
Lost the first run here on the rear bumper of L. Blanc, however, I then knew where to overtake. And Captur the Flag !
WC_260605_E2.webp

WC_260605_B2.webp

Event 3 at St. Croix
Nismo R34 GT-R Z-tune '05 - SM / 349 kW / 1,605 kg / 599.30 PP / CRB ✅
Don't know why but it's actually been the first time I enjoyed this car. Stable and quick, even against AI on magic boost.
WC_260605_E3.webp

WC_260605_B3.webp

Event 4 at Nürburgring GP
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 - SH / 329 kW / 1,415 kg / 599.50 PP / CRB ✅
The perfect horrible track for the Lambo with its permanent slight tendency to slip and slide. So much fun !

WC_260605_B4.webp

Event 5 at Fuji
Nissan R92CP '92 - RM / 558 kW / 940 kg / 799.90 PP / CRB ✅
I made it through the rain of Fuji !!! Without hassle !!! Monsoon for 4 final laps leading to an unchallenged victory !!!

This week's runners.
Japanese FF in my 448pp Demio. Still too easy with that pp.
Special race was ok. Maybe if it was with modified cars it would have been more fun, or limit the pp. Anyway, used my Captur with the Jeje tune. Easy win.
For the GTR race, I used a type of car I've never raced in, a safety car. Threw on some SS and this car is a pretty good runner. Won by around 15 seconds.
The WTC600 was my chance to test out an EVO V with a 550pp tune by Jeje which I upped to right under the 600 with some RS on. What a fun car for this race. Won it by around 15 seconds.
Fuji race in my trusty 787B which has won this race previously. The heavens opened on lap 6 so pitted for IM's. Lapped everyone except for one car.
Won 1M with the big ticket.

Six Stars Ticket : 500000 cr like everybody 😂
Cool for the update next week, I have 50 millions now 😁
All races was Golden on Hard difficulties, TC1 or 0, ABS weak, PS5 with gamepad.
See you next week after "Le Mans" update 😉

WTC600 was another opportunity to pull my trusty old shiny and black R32 out of the garage, it's not getting much use these days but it's my "signature car" if there's ever been any. The specs are nothing to write home about - basically stock Nismo S-Tune with a Group A gearbox and a beefed up suspension but still, 400 bhp in a 1400 kg car really isn't anything special. How it makes use of them, however, is. Needed a couple of tries because the blue Supra just about reversed into me in the first corner.

I used the Mclaren f1 racecar fuel setting 3 dont change the tyres to inters until after the rain has been steady about lap 6 (feather the throttle lap 5 as its starting to lose grip), it starts spitting rain earlier in the race but it is a red herring. After the pit fill up full and go fuel map 1 to the end, as it dries late on use wet lines to preserve the tyre grip.

Detuned 787B. I always play on Normal and it's a sure winner. Good on fuel.

Power Pack. As always, first two are repeats, third is my first time.
No Good Racing EK ruled the FF and Civic races.
Meanwhile, my FXXK ruled the 1000HP at Deep Forest with a 10 second win over Miyazono in his R32.
Money with the tickets. Saving up for the update! lol

Any of the Group C cars with max ballast and power dropped to hit 800 PP on RH, the Gr.2 F1 GTR will also win it on RM without too much trouble, just shift around 6500 and run map 1, chances are you get some rain and the AI loses like 40 seconds if you try a few times. Weird choice but also fun is an engine swapped Escudo, as long as you short shift it can do 5 laps on map 1 and has a massive advantage in the wet.

Cars for this week's events:
all on hard difficulty, ABS weak, no assists. PS4, controller

Japanese FF Challenge 450
: Mazda Demio XD '15. CM tyre, FC suspension, ECU & gearbox. Race air filter, exhaust, manifold, brakes, pads, clutch & flywheel. Engine balance, titanium rods, race crankshaft & intercooler, weight reduction stage 3. 420PP, 157bhp, 885kgs. Easy win. CRB ✅
Special Event: Fully tuned Captur. Only got one and didn't want to change the settings... 653PP, 394bhp, 1011kgs. OP? Maybe a little 🤣 CRB✅
Nissan GT-R Cup: LZ20B-swapped KPGC10. SS tyre, FC suspension, diff, ECU, gearbox. downforce front 100, rear 150. Race exhaust, pads & brakes, clutch & flywheel. Weight reduction stage 3. 666,36PP, 569bhp, 853kgs. Won by roughly 9s, but no CRB🚩
World Touring Car 600: Ferrari 250GTO '62. Race brakes & pads, RH tyre. Maybe I was lucky with the positioning of the AI, but this was a really straight forward win. Not to much effort needed.. CRB✅
Neo-Classic Competition: Went for the Mercedes Sauber C9. RH tyre. There was little rain but I could just manage without needing to change tyres. (lucky because it in the pit it turned out I never bought IM or wet for this car!) Put in some fuel and carried on. Thought I lost it because starting L9 I was in P4, 13s behind P1-2. But even though they al pitted end of lap 8, they did it again at the end of lap 9?? Checked the replay and they all 'needed' 1-2 extra L of fuel!! So in the end I won easily with a +/- 15s lead... CRB 🚩

4*-Daily marathon got me the Subaru VGT.
6* got me 500K cash.
