DRS? Check.
Same braking points as the F1 car? Absolutely. 😈

Decent week, just mostly reruns for me.
Euro Sunday in one of my favorites for this category,449.85pp Twingo on CS. Won by 3 seconds.
Autopolis had to be done in a car to celebrate yesterday,Happy 8/6 Day! One of my Hachis(550.14pp) this one in Black Limited livery . Won by 6 seconds.
TT was easy. Three runs in and I was done.
Schwarzwalde gave me a chance to showcase a livery I made the other day based on the Cayman that ran in last weekend's Nurburgring race. It was too easy a race though.
For Yas I had to use the car I ran the last time for this race,787B. Seemed to be too easy this time around so maybe one day I'll try it with a Gr.3 car. Won by 47 seconds over the 296.

Bastards are clever, they don't pit!

While my RS tires were completely gone in lap 7, as the fuel too.
Not I'm seeing that, bcs I drive in cocpit without HUD, but I felt there's no any grip left - and game showed me I have only 1.3laps fuel left.

Time to try something else, but LaFerrari was so good to drive!

UPDATE: I did it with CLK '98!

Picked nice Sprite livery, put RH and detuned it to 799PP.
No pitting, tires felt good and almost last corner overtake for 1st place!

I didn't have a lot of time for the challenges this week, so I went with cars that I've driven before (hard difficulty, except for the last one)...

Alsace - Porsche 356 A/1500 GS Carrera '56 - IIRC, I upgraded the tires to CS and installed the sports computer to get this close to the suggested PP. It was a tougher race than I expected. Still, managed a double overtake up the hill on the final lap to take the lead and the win.

weekly-challenge-202608w1-r2.webp

Autopolis - Subaru BRZ STI Sport '18 - This car was already over the suggested PP limit, so I just took it out without any further modification. Easy win.

weekly-challenge-202608w1-r3.webp

Catalunya - BAC Mono '16 - It took a few attempts to figure out where to brake for that first corner, but after that, it was pretty easy to get the gold time.

weekly-challenge-202608w1-r4.webp

Catalunya - Porsche 911 Turbo (930) '81 - I modded this car in so many ways I don't remember them all, including RS tires, so that it was approaching the PP limit. I kept the stock turbo, though. Despite a couple crashes, I still managed an easy win.

Yas Marina - Subaru BRZ GT300 '21 - I've struggled with this race in other cars, so to save time I immediately downgraded the difficult to 'Normal'. It was still a challenge. I ran a no-stop on RM tires. I took the lead on lap 8 and held it to the end.

A fun week, I guess. Wish I'd had more time to try out some new cars. Next week...

Good surprise, a 5 Stars Ticket for Daily Marathon : a G70 Gr4 👍
All races was Golden on Hard difficulties, TC1 or 0, ABS weak, PS5 with gamepad.
Many thanks for reading my (long) post 😅
Good weekend everybody 😉

Tried a couple more supercars for the Yas WTC 800. Both the Ferrari F40 (swap or not) and the Mercedes-AMG GT Black are viable. I also tried the Porsche 991 GT3 RS yesterday and found it a treat as well, minus the excessive liftoff oversteer.

Fuel map 1 is not an option for any road car in this event, obviously, so you must switch to higher maps to make it to the end without stopping. Once you got that down, it’s plain sailing from there.

There is something satisfying about beating a bunch of GT3 cars with your tuned road car.

I simply wasn't in the mood for doing what I usually do, so instead of scrolling through my garage and picking my favorite cars, I went shopping. Visited the local car dealers and bought what seemed reasonable for the tasks ahead. Cars I had never driven before.
And they all got the same treatment :
I added a one-step tire upgrade, a power restrictor, adjustable ballast and an adjustable ECU ( if necessary ) ... nothing else.
Tried to set them up at a matching PP level, no further tuning, everything else was stock.
It's been a bit of a surprise then but the first four challenges came fairly easy, even the TT Special Event. Didn't spend much more than a couple minutes there after being clear about the BAC's needs.
Yas Marina though ... that was different. That was me. Trying to manage a clean win. I had victories, podiums, bonuses but I couldn't string it together. Took me three hours all in all - please don't call it stupid, call it true dedication.
