Yes. If you don’t apply the widebody upgrade, both the front and rear can have a small amount of downforce with the Type B front and Type B rear options (100 points max at each end).

The widebody will only give you the option for rear downforce.

With so many people raving about the car I had to try myself and made it this week's prio 1 project. :D
Glad I did so, the GT500 swapped Junior is a fantastic racing machine and a really enjoyable drive. Finally !
I hardly ever used the car as I always found it to be a bit stale and boring somehow.
Things have changed completely now - well done, PD.
I've only tried to find a WTC 800 setup so far, nothing below, nothing above. There's many many possibilities I'm afraid.
But at least for Bathurst I found something like a favorite tune I think. Gapped the rest by 80 seconds or so. Cleanly.

August – Week 5

Hello, guys! The latest update came as a very unpleasant surprise: all the machines I used before started exceeding the permissible PP. The Mazda LM55 that I use in the WTC800 on the Sardegna track, now exceeds the PP by more than 30 points. After the power reduction, the lap time deteriorated by more than 3 seconds. I’m afraid to imagine what awaits me in the WTC900 races, where I constantly run into problems. But let’s get back to the weekly challenges in which I used:

In the first attempt, everything was bad — I couldn’t get higher than 4th place, apparently because I hadn’t driven in Panorama for a long time. But then everything went much better, and I managed to win. Unfortunately, I can’t add a photo of the race; right after the results screen, my PS4 froze.

#4 | Special Race – Caterham Seven – One Make | Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit
Caterham Seven Superlight R500 ‘08 | PP 653 | RS tyres | Racing wheel
The race was supposed to be easy and fun, but my rivals turned out to be quite aggressive and spun me out twice. Overall, the car isn’t bad, but it will probably be hard to handle with stiffer tires.

My Weekly Challenges for the week have been completed. Not all were wins, but all on Hard difficulty and all except the WTC 800 with no HUD.

My theme for this week was Different Cylinder Counts.

Race 1) Japanese FF Challenge 450: 6 Cylinders, Mitsubishi FTO, stock. The Caterham race took the usual 4-cylinder choices out of the equation, which left me with only the FTO to use. Fairly straightforward win with a last corner pass and CRB.

Race 2) Japanese FR Challenge 450: 10 Cylinders, Lexus LFA, stock. I toyed with the idea of the Espace F1-swapped A90 Supra, but figured that was too much. The LFA was more than enough and cranked the volume for the wail. Easy win with CRB.

Race 3) Ferrari Circuit Challenge: 12 Cylinders, Ferrari F50, stock. I honestly hate all of the Ferrari races. I tried to keep up with the OP 812 and F8, but failed. Finished 3rd, but only just.

Race 4) Caterham 7 R500 One-Make: 4 Cylinders, Caterham 7, obviously, stock. First, I tried my Jimny-swapped 170S replica, but it was just falling further back. I then bought another one and went straight into the race. That stock one was more than enough to win, even though I should have been quicker with it. For some reason, these Special One-Make races are always at least 2 laps too long. Easy win with CRB.

Race 5) WTC 800: 8 Cylinders, Ford Mustang American Racer 2015, stock, RM tires. Unlike most others here, I actually enjoy Bathurst and this race was a favorite when it was added. I had 1 stop on Lap 7 for fuel and a new set of tires. The Trans-Am replica just seemed appropriate and the extra horsepower helped greatly. I ended up finishing 2nd, just beating Bonelli at the finish line.

Race 1) 300hp Tuning Battle at Grand Valley: Modified Ford Mustang GT. Pole, but I dropped to 3rd at the start, got the lead back on Lap 2, and steadily drove away, with CRB.

Race 2) Bump Drafting at Daytona Oval: Ford GT40 Mk1, tuned to 1969 LeMans specifications. This is my go-to race for Daily Mileage and moneymaking at the moment. This particular spec is perfect, no quali, no lifting; just turn the wheel, avoid the AI traffic, and stay above the yellow line to win by almost a full lap with CRB.

Race 3) American Muscle Cars: Ford Mustang American Racer 2015, another chance for the TransAm Mustang to shine this week and it did brilliantly. I lost the CRB on the penultimate lap, when it shot me off the road at Turn 9. I still managed to win by slowly pulling away from the Rampage before my excursion.

Iconic track that I'm liking more and more!
I picked up Zonda and did significant improvement until game showed me that I have 1.6l fuel.
It was lap 5 and there I screw up, in the middle of the lap, my RS worn and I spun 3 times before entering pit, my race was ruined - I finished 5th.

Second time I pit in lap 5, took RS again and fueled for 5 laps.
That way, I managed to catch first one, who was going, as I saw, without pitting.
I won despite stupid 3.5s penalty for wrong entering pits, that I deserved, but how the car behind me hitt me while I was serving that penalty - I almost spun, and if I did on that straight, that race would be ruined too.

It wasn't perfect race, but I was taming good that beautiful beast, taking my path to victory 🙌
 
Mount Panorama. Bathurst. One of the most fearsome circuits in the world this side of the Nordschleife. It is a brutal, unforgiving track that plays host to two of the most hotly-anticipated motor races in the Southern Hemisphere. One is the Bathurst 1000, the annual V8-powered Aussie touring car dogfight between Ford and General Motors (though this wasn’t exclusive in some years, this coming race included). The other is the Bathurst 12 Hour, one of the most grueling GT races on the planet that showcases an array of talent and manufacturers.

One of the handful of manufacturers that contested both races was Nissan. And the Japanese brand saw success. We know the story of the original Godzilla: the R32 GT-R’s dominant 1991 Bathurst 1000 victory, back when that race was held under Group 3A regulations. However, the R35 GT-R has its own story. In 2014, the Nismo GT3 would make its Bathurst 12 Hour debut. It had shown pace in the early going, but, on lap 59, the #32 Nissan smashed into a stricken Ferrari. Race over.

Thankfully, in the following year, Lady Luck would be on their side. In the late stages, the #35 Nissan of Katsumasa Chiyo, the man involved in their crash the year prior, would take the lead of the race in the final two laps following a safety car period. He would not look back. Nissan returned to the top step of a Bathurst podium for the first time since that controversial 1992 Bathurst 1000.

Can this same, older version of the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 win the WTC800 race at Bathurst in Gran Turismo 7? Can it beat newer machinery like the Ferrari 296 GT3 and Porsche 992 GT3 R? Let’s find out.

Obviously, I had to fully max out the car in order for it to have the best chance of winning. So, it had the 789 horsepower the majority of Gr.3 cars in the game have when fully upgraded. I also threw on racing mediums for a balance of quick pace and tire life. Some tweaks to the suspension and differential to make the car a tad more forgiving, and it was off to the Mountain.

In the first few laps, it was a case of learning the car’s behavior and picking off the opponents one by one, all while trying to avoid the walls of which this track has quite a lot of. There were a couple of bracing moments where I put two wheels on the grass to overtake a pair of cars going two-wide for whatever reason. Other than that and a few love taps, it was mostly drama-free. I took the lead by the midway point and stopped on lap 7 for new mediums and a splash of fuel to get me to the end.

And that was it. The original Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 did exactly what it did in 2015 and dominated at the Mountain. That was a pretty fun little race. I keep forgetting just why Bathurst is such an amazing venue. Then I do a GT race like this one and remember.

Fuel map 1, push for seven laps, stop for fresh rubber and some fuel, golden. Margin of victory was 25 seconds. My fastest lap was a 1:57.9 on the final lap (pad player here).

WTC 600 in Suzuka makes that 950 pp Yas Marina race seem like a tutorial race.

The Xiaomi is there, as well as the other OP rivals like the RUF. Kokubun starts at the top of the pack as well. You only have 4 laps to catch the rabbit, worse if the white FD takes an early lead.

There is not a year restriction (or any restriction, other than road car) for any of the Sunday Cup Classic events. One difference is the opponents are in cars older than 1990.

Might be Historic Sports Masters. Those and the Neo-Classical ones have a minimum and a maximum year restriction on them.
