GT7's online bonuses.

Well we all know that the past two GT's have relied pretty heavily on being connected to the internet. be it the online bonuses, seasonal event, downloading DLC or even just updating the game, its pretty difficult to live without internet connection. But i have just had a slightly depressing thought... PS4 has paid subscription. and I don't really want to pay for that.

I know second hand the sadness of GT without internet. My friend @Pollux918 has a very poor internet connection, and a lack of a wireless connection. He bought GT6, because you know, its a pretty good game. but little did he realise what he would be missing out on without internet. many a time has he seen a picture of an M4, or an FT1 or even the AMG VGT and said, ' I need to buy that car!'. And I have had to reply with, 'you cant, you haven't updated'. 'SIIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!' he says, each and ever time.
(note that this paragraph has been written for a comedic effect :dopey:)

so, as you can see, GT life without internet connection is a sad, solemn life of which i do not wish to be a part of. and unfortunately, i might become a part of that life when GT7 arrives. but i wonder how they will do it. will they continue as is, and reject their poor, un-affording customers, or will they do something different so as to support all of us poor people who still 14 or younger, and whos parents cant be bothered to pay for something that A: doesnt benefit them, and B: isn't 'trust worthy' enough for them.
 
Not sure what the question is but two things come to mind. You mentioned not wanting to pay for the subscription but isn't PS+ $50/year? Surely if one can afford $400+ for the system and $60-70/game, one can afford the $50 annual fee? Do you need a subscription to simply download updates and DLC?

As far as not having an internet connection to begin with, that also surely has to be a tiny, tiny minority of game players these days and growing smaller by the day. But perhaps some kind of remote download you could do by wifi into a handheld device of some kind would be a welcome addition.

i kind of wrote this passage because i was bored actually :lol:. there is no question really either.
Oh and i didn't realise that PS+ was only $50 a year... obviously i miss read anyway; thought it was about $50 a month...
but yeah, im sorry if i inconvenienced you in some way, but i just felt like writing something.:)
 
I'm not sure about PS4, but on Xbox360 I can download game updates & DLC just fine without paying a subscription.

As for bonuses, I'd rather have a system similar to Forza where players get credit bonuses for turning aids off, damage on, and increasing AI difficulty. That encourages player skill and doesn't require me to connect to the internet every time I play the game.
