[mockhorror]What? GTAIV isn't perfect?[/mockhorror]

What doesn't GTAIV have that San Andreas didn't have that GTAIV should have? I, for one, think the things they dropped from San Andreas were worth dropping... I don't sit down at my PS3 to exercise at the gym or furiously pump away on a bicycle...

Only thing missing with the game is more unique interior locations... And possibly a secret deathmatch island hidden in the middle of the ocean some five hundred miles north of Liberty City.

 they did give us things we didn't need in IV as well, you can watch TV on your game, on your actual TV! Although the TV is hilarious to be fair. The friends thing was the only thing I found annoying, it was just a completely chore and although providing some humorous dialogue and rewards (car bomb anyone?) it wasn't worth it.

People just can't accept that GTA has changed with IV, it took the turn down gritty and realistic, people didn't do their research and then were instantly thinking, what the hell? where's my plane?

Saints provides the best muck about GTA-ish game on the current generation (thus far), it's worth looking into those who weren't happy with R*s offering.

The TV is actually a nice addition, although the programming is way too limiited. It's a nice expansion to the radio comedy that's been there since Vice City.

Yeah... the new "friends" thing is a chore... as is the "girlfriend" thing... though I must say, I was kind of miffed when I lost Michelle... :dopey:

Yeah... I guess the extra grit is the biggest downside to GTA:IV... though I think whatever Rockstar did with these last three games, they would really never be able to match the gem that is Vice City. It's very hard to improve on a game that got the comedy, action and drama just perfectly...

At least they're giving it a better go than EA is with Need For Speed... several titles after Underground 2 and still none of them come close to that game. I've played NFS since Hot Pursuit... and UG2 was, IMHO, the best... Most Wanted was good, but not as good as UG2... and Carbon wasn't nearly as engrossing... ProStreet... complete UGH.

I enjoyed the change of scenery, the way that we no longer take hundreds of hits before hitting the floor, the driving, the slightly less OTT story. I to believe Vice City is the best GTA to date though, if they could have the vibrance and style of VC coupled with the physics of IV, I'd be a happy gamer. That or just more variety of environments on the current engine.
