GTA SA and hookers...

Okay, I'm either really dumb, or I'm just doing something wrong here, but how on earth do you pick up hookers in SA? lol
I can pull up to the curb, honk my horn and they come over asking something like "looking for a good time baby?" but that's it! They never get in!
I have CJ all blinged out from head to due with clothing from Didier Sachs (the yellow suit) but still nothing!
Can anyone help? CJ needs some action :P
 
First, return the yellow suit. Then drive up to a hooker, honk, press D-Pad right ( ---> this is right).

D-Pad right will always make CJ give a positive response in any conversation. D-Pad left will make him say a negative response. Doing nothing does nothing.
 
Picking up hookers is really easy, just press > on the D-pad for a positive reply.
After she's get in the car, find a quit place to "do it"

After completing the "Pimping Missions" the hookers will pay you for having sex with them, instead of you paying for the hooker :)

Also (I just borrowed the game from a friend if you didn't notice, lol) is it possible to "pick up" ladies that are walking by on the sidewalk? Like date them, or whatever?
 
Nope. You can't date people that are just walking on the sidewalk. You can only date a select number of women.
 
About the girlfriends issue, once you get dumped by one, that's it, right? There's no way to get back with her?
 
And just to prove to everyone (who didn't know already) that there is no 'animation' get a golf cart and pick a lady up.
