my 'screenshots needed' shouldn't get any bigger, i plan on saving a few records til i get a camera again.. when i get the screenshots i should have a pretty good size update.

I think I've scored about 20 times but would have to check-- I've dated millie and denise up to 100%.

This was a glitch height. I got it on a bike during a chilliad race so if you don't want to include this, no problem Jimmy.

I think what happened was this, I went off the road and fell down a ways, bounced off the ground, and continued down the mountain, then spawned back up on the trail and got the glitch stats. Anyway, when I bounced it must have registered me as starting another jump and when I respawned back on the trail it registered that as my second landing so got jump stats for this-- the distance from where I bounced to where I respawned back up on the trail.....

Also--- FYI people with US version--- for some reason max insane jump height stats are in your stats as meters although every other distance type stat is in feet. The height in the insane jump brief will have the height in feet--your stats will be in meters though.

That's weird with the metres (meters)/feet thing.

But I won't include that record as by the sounds of it, you did not physically jump back up the mountain, rather you just reappeared on the top of Mount Chiliad.

However, when i got that swag it was a glitch where i stole a tv from a house and when i went back in it was there again, so i stole the same tv about 20 times. So if you don't want to include it, fair enough. My next highest swag is $7,220 if you'd rather use that

Nope, I'm going to use the larger one. I don't find it unfair, and I see no reason not to include it.

Off the top of Mt. Chiliad, was it? My 283m jump was off Chiliad on a Bullet with a NOS boost.

I'm tempted to take a Rhino up there now that you explained how to keep the turret firing backwards and see how far it goes. But I'd say it's no fun getting a Rhino all the way there and up those windy paths.

Still, it's the holidays and I've nothing to do for 3 weeks now. May as well try experimenting with stuff.

I noticed that you can move the turret up and down--- also (before you lock it)-- I don't know if this affects it--- I did take one of those airport ramps in LV (like the long one in VC) but my distance wasn't very good--- I don't know if the Rhino likes to fly in SA.

I started to take one up there too but got side tracked and ended up fliping it and it blew up. I never even got to the base of the mountain.

I suggest you take the train tracks there from Grove Street.

Nice--- I'm thinking the rotation wouldn't be a problem off chilliad (just difficult to get it started) but the height?????

I'm intriqued.....but I got stuff to do today so I can't try out anything. :(
 
I screwed up trying to stunt off the top of the mountain. I missed the ramp and hit the fence so I was backing up to try again but I was still looking forward in first person view so couldn't see what I was doing and fell down the mountain to the right. The tank slid off the mountain and fell down and hit a rocky ledge on it's way down and bounced right up off spinning like crazy. It's a pity it was on exactly it's side because it didn't register any flips.

Getting the Rhino to the summit Mt. Chiliad wasn't much trouble by way of the train tracks from Ganton. Less than 10 minutes in total and no crashes or stars collected. I think I'll go grab another one and try to get a distance jump.

I wish I could save a Rhino in Angel Pine though. :grumpy:

Well if I'm going to wish for something, it would be a big garage on top of CHilliad (I bet that will be the first mod out for the PC version :) ) or to have the helicopter with the magnet work after that one mission.

That sounds like a fluke. I bet you (or someone else) won't be able to repeat it--- would have been sweet to have your view on cinematic for that one....

I've just noticed and I'm quite dissappointed that there are no entries in the record book for high scores on the video games. So I think I shall begin, if Jimmy would like to put them in there that is. I think they should be a part of the books I just don't know where they would go though.... anyhow:

Highest Score in Duality - 315 - dori-san
Highest Score in Go Go Space Monkey - 16450 - dori-san
Highest Score in Let's Get Ready to Bumble - 3285 - dori-san
Highest Score in They Crawled From Uranus - 5090 - dori-san

I can get screenshots for any of these if needed. Man, Duality is hard and really wierd.

The Rhino doesn't behavie midair like it does in Vice City but it sure can get some spins in. I managed a 1900 rotation and 5 flips. If you keep firing the turret it helps it start to spin faster in the air.

It doesn't have the horizontal speed though so it keeps hitting things on it's way down, but that seems to help, I got my 5 flips after hitting a rock and it just shot off spinning.

Now I really wish there was a garage near Mt. Chiliad.

yeah.. the tank doesn't seem to be too good for distance jumps in SA.. which is kinda dissapointed, cause it was by far the best in VC.. but since you get nitrous and a lot more faster cars it doesn't matter too much, i guess... i'm gonna have to make some trips up to chiliad and see what i can manage :) the only times i've been up there was to do the mountain bike challenges
 
I took the hovercraft (Vortex I think) up to the top of Mt. Chiliad and jumped off to the north and it basically flys. Actually it kind of falls very slowly, but I nearly made it to CJ's garage before landing. Too bad it doesn't register for jumps though.
