That's my guess as well, especially given the fact that their first trailer leaked a few hours early through a Youtube employee.
It's probably a lot easier to track the people touching the files at Netflix, which only handles a few uploads per day probably.
yeah Im actually cancelling Netflix for the rest of the month...but yeah Netflix seems desperate these days, lolz if someone does indeed sign up for that trailer...also, still not interested in getting or learning about the game (probably will around launch tho)
Shows the size of GTA's cultural impact that it's launching on a major home streaming service, and not purely on YouTube which I imagine is seen as more mobile, or embedded content.
Same here, though I can imagine some will be foolish enough to do it. Never underestimate the impatience of people. Instant gratification by any means necessary, logic be darned.
I have my reservations about GTA VI. I played the last one and wasn't quite into it as much as I was for GTA IV, even though GTA V itself is a fantastic game.
In an unprecedented move for video games, Rockstar is debuting a new GTA 6 trailer exclusively on subscription service Netflix. Will you watch it there?

I'm sure you're going to watch it because everyone is.

Guess again, Bob.
Even if it wasn't from a crappy company with crappier employee treatment, I wouldn't be paying £5.99 to watch a ****ing trailer.
agreed also likely to get leaked on youtube at somepoint right after
edit: the promotion for this game makes me want it less and less the more the push stuff like that

I wont be getting Netflix, and I wont be refreshing Youtube every minute to see if/when its uploaded there either... I'm just not that fussed !
I'll probably end up watching it at some point, but I'll also be perfectly OK if I dont ever see it... I'm quite happy learning about the game while actually playing the game !
Trailer is extended gameplay- but we will be playing it soon. I would rather play the game, and see it all then as i play through, taking it all in. That trailer would ruin part of the experience for me.
New GTA 6 footage shows some optional leisure activities for Jason and Lucia while also showing off some impressive water graphics

There are a few gameplay features/mechanic spoilers in this article, & the 2 videos showed a little more. The biggest leak is the map they're claiming to have shown.
I will just say, imo, it's going to wow & hold up over time like RDR2 did. They clearly used it as a base in their development.

Seriously, causing public mayhem might make viral videos and be harder to elude cops and maybe rivals and such with avatars recording our characters.
Just wanted to come back round to this, since you've made comments about how social media affects the game. I think we have a decent idea now:
The game very much appears to have an honor system like RDR2, & a little purple 😈 emoji pops up as Jason hits an NPC he gets into a fight with which I assume is showing an indication of Jason's reputation taking a hit within' the game world. How this affects other NPCs, or main characters, is to be seen, of course, but it lends heavy credibility to your thoughts on social media playing a role in the game.
As far as eluding cops, there are 3 icons that appearing showing a clothes hanger, a head silhouette, & a vehicle indicating that police are aware of what you're wearing, look like, & your car. I think it'll be a neat little system that incentivizes you to switch things up when the wanted system gets too much.

I guess if we wear layers of clothing it’ll help. I mean he’s wearing a hat and tank top. Removing the hat and say swiping a Hawaiian shirt off op shop rack to cover his tattoo.
Various insiders are pinpointing it at 2024-mid 2025. Some maybe even in 2023, but that would be a drastically big jump in development from what was seen in the 2022 leaks.
Additional spoiler for those who see the map:
It is zoomed out, so several smaller roads/infrastructure/etc are not visible. For ex: the bare, green square island w/ 2 grey blotches, just under "Vice Dale County" is a decently small community.
