So it's safe to go on Suzuka now? I tried Daytona Road today but the only people racing there were idiot punters.

Steady there, its going to take a few weeks before GTA has reached everyone it possibly can, I doubt idiots know how to pre-order, so they likely havent got it yet ;)

Oh lucky meeeeee. I'm saving to get my Ute lowered right now, so can't afford GTAIV. Therefore all attention to GT5:P still. I thought the quality of racers had increased also. I think GTP tagged players have also got a name for themselves. I notice some players leave the GTP players alone because they know we're clean, while they still go an punt non-GTP players. Also, if you want big money, race during the Aussie day time, 3-4 racers tops on track at once.

Every time a major game launches (Madden, GT, GTA, etc), I always laugh at the idiots that preorder their games from our local GameStop. Shortly before midnight, I simply drive to the local Wal-Mart, stroll back to the electronics department, get what I need, and get out with no problems. As I'm driving out of the shopping center, I roll down my window to tell all of the guys waiting outside of GameStop that they should just go in to Wal-Mart and pick up a copy, as there are plenty available with no wait. Most won't, since GameStop already has some of their money, and they feel compelled to stand in the long, slow line. I'm probably home playing the game before most of the guys even have the copy that they paid for in advance.

I went one better, I found out that Gamestation (one of the games retailers in the UK) gave away peoples pre-orders if they hadnt turned up for them by 8pm, so on Tuesday, after seeing all the insanity with people searching everywhere for copies of the game, I went into Gamestation at around 7.50pm. The place was dead, no-one was there, I just strolled up to the counter and asked if they had any PS3 copies of GTA4 and they were like "yeah, sure" and got me it from the back. 👍! Who needs to worry about shops being out of stock when I can go one better and just get someone else's pre-order that they decided to neglect?
Being a games design student for the win!

If it comes down to buying something at Walmart or somewhere else, I will always choose somewhere else, even if it's less convenient and costs $0.03 more. Plus, you meet some really cool people in those lines!

All I hope for is to expect a race to actually finish for once, stupid quitters :P

So you are in favor of driving further away and paying more money because WalMart is the evil empire?

Walmart is no more evil than any other large retail corporation.

Oh god, you dont use the queue's as your social life, do you? :scared:
Nah, im joking. You're going to have a hard time avoiding corporations if you want to get what you want mate, good luck. Its an effect of capitalism.

Nebraska Furniture Mart, FTW! I got GTA4 for $43.67, with tax, and recieved a $10 gift card. So, esentially, I got it for $30. :D Already had a $10 gift card from buying GT5, and the game was on sale for $49.99.

The only thing I've noticed different is less GTP members online. Punters, track sitters, and overall bad driving remains

Honestly, i've been on GT5:P since Jan, i even bought the US version and have been playing that since release. I believe that GTa4 is a welcome addition the my game library...it is after all a VERY good game...

I got GTA4 today and boy is it a great game. But now I have to share my precious spare time between GTA4 and GT5P, bummer.

Pretty much the same here. Prologue has been splitting time with PC racing sims since January, now there's GTAIV and Mario Kart Wii to take up some of my precious gaming hours. Fortunately we've got our GTP race schedule so that I can waste less time with bad online GT5P races.

No matter what, it sure is a good time to be a gamer. :)

Even if people do move on to GTA4, people who weren't lucky enough to get the game (not saying that I want it) would probably stick to GT5P, but I hope they try to practice and master it first.
