Ok I'm a little late on shark week lol, but I had to share my shark hunter story. If you have any pics and stories about sharks feel free to post them too.
I decided to go shark hunting and try to kill one with a knife. I have tried many times before, but this time I had a plan to outsmart the sharks. I drove a boat out to the deep until one saw me and started to circle. I knew it would chase me, but wasn't sure for how long. I drove somewhat slow to make sure it kept following and lured it into a small cove. The cove was pretty shallow making me think I would have a better time trying to stab it underwater.
It was swimming pretty fast and I tried chasing it underwater, but couldn't keep up. I chased it for a pretty long time and it never attacked which was good lol. I think they need a certain depth in order to eat you. Then all the sudden the shark was scared and on the run. It went full speed into the really shallow area and ended up beaching itself.
It quickly realized something has gone horribly wrong and managed to turn around and get back into the water.
It headed right for me this time and I assumed it was over. I never realized how big the sharks were until you are in the shallows right next to one. I swung my knife at it and missed. It circled and a few more attempted I actually got it!
You can actually beat them with a bat and move them a little so I beat it for like 10 solid minutes to move it pretty much on land.
Happy to concur the beast.
After this the only rightful thing to do was burn it and let it go to shark heaven. It has to be heavily out of the water to catch fire. Tried a few times before, but the water stops the fire even tho it was coated in gas.
PART2:
I tried it again only near the main pier. Got it in real close to shore by the boats and seadoos. This time it somehow went onto the shore and swam on the land. Look on the right side it went super far on shore and is actually swimming
I assume they are programmed to head for water because it tried to get to the little water pond thing on the beach. It ended up dying literally 1ft away. Never seen or thought a shark could come that close to the actual city before and was super shocked at the time.
It is tons of fun doing actual shark hunting trying to lure them into a planned area for capture or to get killed. Now I know why Japan likes it so much lol. Just joking don't do it to real ones.
