Double Post Alert:

Post, Triple and I have decided unanimounsly that we are running a shortened version of the race for full points. Qualifying will begin now and the race will be set to autostart so get in if you're coming...10 laps, no pit.

My race ended up going longer than expected, I've asked JP to handle the race. I'm done with GT5 for the day, sorry for any inconvenience.

EDIT: ^^I think I do have that replay.

The three of us spec checked HP before the race. I ran with 25kgs of ballast and no one else qualified for ballast according to the OP except Polar. But Polar arrived with 1 minute left in qualifying and theoretically was past the point to get in but we allowed him to race without spec check and he finished third. Best he could have done was add 8 hp so I don't think it affected the outcome.

Results:

1 Johnny
2 Post
3 Polar
4 Triple

Most of the race Post and I were within a second of each other and he was definitely faster than me especially under braking. Only a mistake here or there kissing the guardrail left him a close second. Final gap was 2.135 seconds but even then it was because of a very late mistake otherwise we would have finished nose to tail.

Good race Post!!! 👍👍

Thanks to everyone that showed up, it would have been a great race had we a bigger field.

sorry I didn't notify you guy's of my absence, I forgot all about it after suffering rage from staying up for another cancelled DTM race,

Civic dominated? That's a first

I don't think it had anything to do with the Civic and everything to do with track familiarity, practice, preparation etc. Polar was on average 4.5 seconds per lap off the pace, Triple more than 6 seconds, so I'm guessing they hit more than a few walls/barriers:crazy: That's the only way you can be 4-6 seconds down in these cars.

I dislike the track immensely for racing but I'm very familiar with it and I had 10-15 laps practice and was able to run consistent laps. Post obviously came ready to rock and roll because he opened a practice room 4 hours before the race and had run a 34 flat, which is a blistering fast time in these cars, and I couldn't get close to that until I made a toe adjustment in warm up. I made one or two small mistakes as did Post, but almost all our laps were between 34.0 and 35.0.

CHUCK NORRIS EDIT: Ballast and points still need updating. Also, if we continue on the current schedule, the final race will be on the Sunday before Christmas. Is that the plan?

yeah I got tired of losing and busted my but learning the track. but most of all I learned how I could push this car to my advantage in the corners and now I'm gonna be able to keep up with the miata in cornering as well. JP wanted my setup but I'm almost completely using his lol although I did leave my ride height at +20/+20 maybe that helped.

my apologies I didn't use the right format when I joined up and my name didn't get put on the list. here is what I should have given you.

Honda Civic RM - 28 - Postosis - Yellow - Red

No worries Post. From the looks of it, I won't be able to make it to this weeks race either :(. Lancer should be able to host.

Going to be out of town tomorrow, good luck with the race.

Change of plans...I will be here today. See you in the room. If Lancer can't make it for some reason, I will open the race lobby as I did last week, with the words "NoABS" in the title to keep out the riffraff, but of course ABS will be activated.

We did a ten lapper, like they did last week.

Results:
1. JP - Civic
2. Lancer - Miata
3. Post - Civic

Any thoughts on cancelling the series? Not exactly a barrel of laughs setting aside a couple of hours to race in the middle of the day and only having 2 other people show up:ouch:

I think this time of year makes it difficult for any series. We might need to rally the base for next week. If we can't get good numbers then I will probably pull the plug.

Anyone planning on attending today? I'm 50/50 at this point..not sure if I'll be done work in time.
