I'll get a room up and running at the top of the hour. :)

EDIT: It's up and running now, so bring a poncho. :D

Guys just to make sure that you know the rules for the chicanes. The blue area on track is the out of bounds area. You are not allowed to put 2 wheels over this area. This means that you are allowed to cut the 1st turn fully. That way there won't be a huge mess into turn 1. Guys when we do start both races make sure that your braking BEFORE the person ahead of you so you aren't bumping and crashing into them. This has been a problem for a couple people throughout the series.

Ok! Practice room up!

Seems like Monza is gonna come down to braking points and not making any mistakes. For me it's tough hitting that second chicane without going over the blue square. Started to get it down after a few laps, but if I'm off my breaking point just a little bit I ended up either over shooting or having scrub too much speed. I have a feel its gonna be a great race though. :)

I'm really worried about the first corner, anyone not practicing enough will over shoot and slam into the back of us. We had some practice tonight, myself and rxp had a good 3 lap battle.

For anyone who hasn't practiced, you really have to for this track. If you don't know your breaking points you'll ruin the race for someone else. Lets not have that happen.

For my VW I'm braking a little bit before the bridge. And for the first chicane I'm braking in between the 200 and 150 mark.

I have something of a dilemma. I know I'm going to brake too soon. I put in a few clean laps last night, but never got close to the 2:12 lap time. I loose too much speed braking (and at a few points, with too much wheel spin during acceleration).

My dilemma is, if anyone is behind me, they will hit me. I was checked into a wall in practice last night. I was checked into a wall during the reverse-grid start last week (without rain, and it wasn't even the first turn).

Basically, if anyone is behind me, I have to let off and let them pass before we even get close to a chicane. So, if I have to let everyone pass, I think it may be best if I skip this week.

Can anyone do a 2:12? I wasn't racing with any golfs last night, but if they can do a 2:12 then this isn't a fair race.

Last night, drifting off rxp i managed a 15.3 or 15.5. I braked late on the second chicane on a practice lap and went over the blue and ran a 14.2. What times are the golfs running? I couldn't shake a civic on the straits, i assume the golf will be the same.

This is going to make or brake everyone's race. On last night race I got into the back of Pope's car, and consequently he bumped RXP out of track, and this was with only 4 cars on track!!! We need to get this right, it is going to be very dificult to see the markers on the spray so we will need to pick a diferent rference mark for this one. I'll be oppening another practice session after the 3 liter race tonight, so everyone feel free to join!

I bet that if you use this strategy you will come ahead a few spots on the other side!

The 2:12 was what was posted in the practice last night. It may not have been a league car, I don't know.

My best was a 2:19, though most of my laps were in the low 2:20s. I was running a beautiful 2:16 lap, but I overshot the final turn. :(

I have a practice room up at my end right now if anyone wants to join in for some practice.

So far tonight, I've gotten down to a 2'13.0, so I think I'm improving. Maybe a little more angle in the front end toe helped out some.

There's no way a teg can do a 2:13.0....should be fun anyway

Only time I've gotten that low is when I messed up and cut over the blue square that second chicane

Exactly! On the second chicane there's a blue square, only your right two tires can touch this. I can see this being a problem for qualifying, since there's no replay in free run, who's to say the #1 position was a clean pass. Perhaps Silver-sylph could run his own qualifing until he's happy with a time, and then park on that corner before inviting everyone. Pain in the ass but might be needed.

Also, when you setup the track to test on are you guys making the rain fixed? Otherwise after a while the rain dies off, tires will heat up as the track dries and times will improve.

Clarification, I thought you said in practice a few nights ago that we couldn't touch the blue at all, which is why we can cut the first chicane because there is no blue.

Also, I vote for steady rain. We've practiced and learn our braking points in steady rain. I know I won't get any faster when the track dries. Not that that matters.

Yes that is correct you are not allowed to touch the blue at all. If anything when you exit the second chicane your back tire will touch it.

It was decided a couple days ago that it would be steady rain.

Before qualifying i will have everyone or mostly everyone spectate a lap that i will do clarifying what you are allowed to take.

If RACECAR is there we could have him watch the people and if they cut the chicane he can type something in the chat.

If we can't touch the blue, then park the pace car there! Or Silver-sylph you could park there during qualifing. You wouldn't even have to be watching us, if we hit you then our lap is ruined so there's no chance of a false qualifiing time.

That could work for qualifying. He would have to pull back and watch it from a distance if he monitored that chicane during the race. Don't want someone pushed into him to suffer more damage than they would normally.
