And these episodes are the ones before the franchise got butchered by kids and money scumming executives. I.E: before the Movie.​
 
My childhood didn't involve Spongebob. Acording to many this means I had no childhood.

The name may have now been tainted, but judging these episodes for what they were, back before the days of David Bowie pretending to be an empty city, this was just about the coolest thing there was.

I was in high school in 1999 so I didn't watch it as a kid. I have seen a couple episodes here and there and I vote cool on this one.

Spent nearly every moment of my childhood watching this show. The old episodes are and always will be better than the new ones.

Big part of my adulthood. Sub Zero.

I love SpongeBob as much as my 4 year old sister. I shouldn't like anything she likes which shows just how well made this show is.

+1, only I opted for "seriously uncool" for the amount of people who watched this as a child make it seem like it was so long ago. By the time in my life it was in it's prime, I had already passed the age that I might have enjoyed it.
 
Saddest, corniest thing I've ever seen on TV...

My brother watches it and every time I walk past his room I always hear the dank cheese character doing that laugh... You know, that laugh - 'the gaagaagaaagaaagaagaag'

No wonder that stoned squid hates him.

I'm in the same boat.
My childhood was stuff far more entertaining than this.
...I might nominate one of those shows. But there's something else that I definitely plan to nominate first...
 
I've seen a few episodes of some of the early series and it's still cool.
 
Probably the only children's TV series that you can admit that you like, without looking weird to most people. I personally never got a chance to watch these older Spongebob episodes when it was still a thing, but what I've seen bits later and it was quite good for what it is.
 
My vote is the same as if it were The Simpsons who were polled: Seriously Uncool. They were great once. Then they went downhill. Not long ago I saw an episode I hadn't seen. I had to change the channel almost immediately, since it sucked so bad. Same with The Simpsons.
