GTP Android App

I've recently purchased a tablet and one of the first apps to install was, of course, the GTP app. However, sometimes it's stuck at "Loading" and I have to hit the return button and open the same thread / PM / you name it again. It's working immediately then.

My connection is fine and I can't reproduce it on my iPhone, which is using the same WIFI. Any known issues? Running Android 4.1.1 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
 
There is an andriod app thread, but is buried a little.
As for your question, that regularly happens to me on my phone - sometimes the thinking wheel spins, other times it doesn't. Mostly happens when the mobile network signal is iffy though.
Also, even though it generally works fine, why bother with the app when the tablet's screen should be big enough to run the full site? The lack of text formatting, rendered smilies etc is a little frustrating to me, so I dont bother with the app on my tablet (and reading Famine's posts in black seems wrong).

It's a wifi tablet, so the connection should be fine and my iPhone doesn't have such issues using the same wifi as well. :)
