I automatically qualify as a finalist, don't I?
You joined last year, so if the word n00b still retains any of its meaning as of 2008, you would be disqualified.

Which sort of re-qualifies you.

Darwin gives awards for retroactive stupidity, rather than giving them to living specimens.

The GTP equivalent would be "Best Ban" - for someone who managed to take themselves out of our user list in the most impressive way.

Perhaps this could be voted on by the mods only - i'm sure us mere mortals miss all the juicy stuff when it comes to bannination.

The problem with that is you all delete the offending posts in these cases.

Not that it is a bad thing, it just gimps the award.

Talking of that, perhaps a 'funniest posted picture' award?

The batman LOL U EAT UR POO? one wins it easily

I'd like to think I have a shot at most improved (I started my GTP Career with an infraction last year then didn't post much until this one, and have been given a Premium membership by another member during the course of my years posting and participating!) but alas to be noticed much on here is shockingly difficult.

Suggestion: Staff Member of The Year?

Wouldn't Jordan be the only one elegible? Everyone else volunteers, I think.

Why can't a volunteer be classed as staff? They (the moderators & co.) put in plenty of work and are part of the running and upkeep of the forum. To me they're staff as well as respected friendly and often knowledgable members as is Jordan.

You know what I'm getting at, staff may not be the correct term for it though.

Member of the year?

Wouldn't be awful difficult to pick one, how would they be chosen out of the sheer mass of members as the one of the year?

Will nominations/close runners up be in the awards to?

Probably just pick the one member you think most deserves to be called "The Member of 2008" or something. TIME can pick one man from all the men of the world, I'm sure we can pick one member from all the members on the boards.

We didn't do runners up last year so I doubt we'd see it again this year, unless some changes that.
