GTP Chat 'issues'.

Honestly, this is stupidly being dragged out unnecessarily.

Personally, I don't mind an extra two clicks to enter the off topic lobby. The WRS team has their lobby and we (the "off-topicers") have our own, win-win situation no?

Half of the time the chatroom isn't even being used because no-one actually talks in there. They just pitch their tent and camp. There is no-one in the Racing Lobby (speaking at least) as of now, and there hasn't been for at least an hour. Luckily a kind Premium member made an Off-Topic room for us to talk in otherwise the chatroom would be going to waste since we're "not allowed to talk about non-racing in the Racing Lobby".

That's because they're racing in the races and events they've arranged in the chatroom :dunce: Hence you'll see people go quiet for periods of time followed by bursts of discussion. The amount of rubbish spouted in there prevents us from actually doing this which is why people get fed up, and there is a LOT of off topic nonsense with maybe a small amount of GT5 and not the other way round like it should be.

Also, good call picking a fight with a mod  You do realise they can go in the chatroom in 'stealth' mode. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they're not there. I have seen people been kicked by invisible mods for nonsense in there many times before. Just because no one appears on the list, I wouldn't assume no one is watching. Try ever finding Famine on the list of online users......

Be careful Andy. You muscling in on there thread :P

Lobby name isn't "GT5 Lobby". IF i read correctly, which i'm weirdly doubting, it POSSIBLY says "Racing Lobby".

...Well, I think it says racing lobby...

Anyways, can there just be a separate "off topic lobby" that's permanent or something? As long as it stays within AUP, that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
That way, everyone (possibly) would be happy..or something.

Correct, racing lobby for, IF I understand correctly, which I'm wierdly doubting, is POSSIBLY for talking about racing 💡 something which was not going on.

Which is why i suggested making a sub lobby called "off topic". Twice.

Keep in mind the chat room is provided specifically for organizing online races, and not necessarily for general chatting. Once everything is in place, I will finish integration with the rest of our site's design and layout. Hopefully this will be the launching point of many great contests between GTPlanet users. Enjoy!

Any further questions?

Is that why there's often only 4-5 people in the chat room staying silent for over an hour? Just the other day I was one of 5 people in there with a silence of at least 2 hours.

Anyway, you won since we have our final ruling over this matter. Maybe it would have been easier if the Chatroom wasn't just called 'Live Chat' and actually had some indication it was for races only.
