And it's from an era where I thought cars lost many of their fantastic design cues that were popular with pre-war cars. It's somewhere in the middle, but I'll go uncool.

Not as cool as a Hudson Hornet. But still very cool. The flathead 6 was quicker than the flatty V8 at low speeds.

Trim levels have names, such as Crestliner and Victoria, and there's the ubiquitous Country Squire (a proper wood-clad station wagon this early, with later iterations being less rot-prone).

Edit: Speaking of Crestliner...

Is that not the most gorgeous two-tone split line, oh, ever? Give me a Victoria with Crestliner trim and I'll die happy.
