Additional Information:
Zeta is a marque of automobile which was produced in Australia from 1963 to 1965 by South Australian manufacturing company Lightburn and Co. An established manufacturer of cement mixers and washing machines, Lightburn and Co. built the cars in its factory in the Adelaide suburb of Camden Park. The first Zeta model was introduced in 1963 at a price of £595. Production ceased in 1965 with the last vehicles sold in 1966 and total sales of fewer than 400 vehicles. The two-seater Zeta Sports was introduced in 1964. Body styling was based on the Henry Meadows Sprint version of the Frisky microcar, designed by Gordon Bedson and Keith Peckmore, although Lightburn attributed the design to Michelotti. The fibreglass bodied car weighed 400 kilograms (882 lb) and ran on 10 inch wheels with all-round drum brakes. Like the Goggomobil Dart it lacked doors and bumper bars. 48 examples were produced, with only 6 remaining today.

It looks like an upscaled toy car designed by someone using a block of soap.

Uncool.

The should have stuck with cement mixers and washing machines. Or at least turned the cockpit around. Silly backwards Aussies.

I don't think such a childish, oddly-proportioned designed can be attributed to Michelotti even if Lightburn added a plaque with his name on each and every single Zeta made. The man who designed such elegant coupes such as the Hino Contessa wasn't a specialist in making goofy caricature cars, last time I checked...

Plus the name is too badass for a car with no doors and a 2-stroke bike engine. Although the possibility of having your own head smashed in sounds badass, it is also completely ridiculous. And that faint excuse for a roof wouldn't do much for safety ratings anyways...

Quite frankly, I'm glad Australia's automotive industry moved away from this and into V8 Holdens. Uncool.

Small, lightweight, not over-powered, isn't a race car, not really a collectors garage queen, wasn't just for homologation, isn't an ASBO hot hatch, doesn't attract ricers, likely isn't referred to by chassis codes, isn't too bling, rear-engined, rear wheel drive, multi-sexual, hipster-friendly yet requiring an enthusiasts touch, from an analogue time, simple, and unlike SLS's, Koenigsegg's, Z1's or Wraiths you'd never have to explain the doors..

Based on what I've read on the Cool Wall. This car is Sub-Zero

Quirky as hell but I can't find it in me to hate it for some reason, a low cool.

Yeah....nope.

It has, like MatskiMonk has explained, a lot in common with cars way on top the Sub-Zero section...it's what a twisted magical monkey paw would give you if you list some attributes of the most Sub-Zero cars like the Shelby Cobra or the Jaguar XKSS.

TB
I couldn't disagree more as I guarantee you'd get the "where are the doors?" or "how do you get in it?" questions constantly.

"But my darling, who needs doors?" He exclaims as he laughs, and pootles of into the sunset at 16mph. The wreckless disregard for the existence, or not, of sensible body apertures for easy ingress and egress of the vehicle made her long for for his manly touch even more. She hoped he could dominate her like he dominated all 21hp of his two stroke power unit...

I voted meh by the way. Just thought this kind of car would tick a lot more boxes for people.

If you had typed up this prose before I voted, I'd have given a cool vote. Thanks for that laugh Monk.

For some reason it makes me think of the Amphicar in terms of looks. I don't hate it, yet I don't like it much.

High uncool.

My sides. Here, have them. They now belong to you.

What you mean you don't want 'em?

It's stylish, but the only way I could probably get in it is when its roof is down.

Whoa, there. This is way too realistic.

Somebody left a Giulia Sprint Speciale in the dryer too long.

 Or they fed a Guila through the "Woll Smoth" meme.

Cool because weird.
