Looks a bit kit car to the likes of us, but most would see a pretty 60s sports car, so low Cool.
 
Very pretty car, new one on me. Hate to be the one to say it though, but surely that 5.0 V8 could make a bit more power? Very light though (even with that lump) so perhaps not required. Solid Cool.

It looks and is named like a car straight out of a videogame - one of those artsy stand-ins for Corvettes and Ferraris of the era. And for good reason: it is a tasteful mix of all those stylistic intuitions that made late-60s/early-70s FR grand tourers awesome to look at. The convertible is a bit awkward, but I could totally see myself driving a coupe - and with a weight so small and an engine with such great potential for naturally-aspired power, it'd probably be a blast too.

So, sub-zero it is.
 
The kit car styling is mostly because this was actually a kit car in the early stages like the Bolwells MkI-VII prior.

Cheap it wasn't however. It was $6000 when it first launched which eventually grew to over $10,000. A Datsun 240Z for an example was half that, a contemporary Holden Kingswood was $3000 and a GTHO Phase III Falcon with the same Cleveland 351 was just over $5000.

All of the goodwill the coupe version (which is a lot, since it is like a greatest hits version of the best design cues from the end of the decade) gains, kit car or not, is lost by the convertible; which is so poor you want to check to make sure it isn't based on a Beetle.
 
An Australian TVR that looks like a Grand Theft Autoesque generic 60's sportscar. Meh.
 
Just because you didn't know it existed doesn't make it a kit car. If this was more successful than a Ferrari and the two companies traded places, would that make the Ferrari a kit car?
 
Very, very cool. Only thing that stops it from being Sub-Zero is the hideous black thing at the front of the yellow roadster variant...

Should be amazing to drive as well.
 
What appears to be a budget compilation of design cues borrowed from some of the sports car elite at the time resulting in something either indistinguishable in its class or slightly unpleasant depending on which body style you chose.

Both of which sadly looked no less like kit-builds than its predecessors. Except that you could only pay the turn-key price for one of these.

Not seeing how it resembles a kit car at all. But it looks good, has a lot of power, and doesn't weigh too much. Cool.
 
Pretty good looking, actually, for a glass car.

Nice, high cool. Don't even mind the weird front quarter windows on the 'vert. Interesting way to cure buffeting with the side windows down.

I don't see that "kit car" look that some of you mention. And the explanation behind the name it's interesting.
