Additional Info: "The coupe variant of the rather unsuccessful Fiat 130 sedan, the 130 Coupe was a brand-new design based on the 130 platform, commissioned to the Pininfarina design house (and presumably designed by Paolo Martin). The entire interior and dashboard were also redesigned, now featuring wooden veneer, a row of switches and soft illumination with the help of fibre optics. Capable of hitting 195 km/h (121 mph), an 130 Coupe was once owned by one Enzo Ferrari, who used the car for long-distance trips. Some of the changes that the Coupe introduced were later added to the 130 Sedan, including the steering column, dashboard, central console and the ventilation. Two other variants were created for the car but were rejected by Fiat; the 4-door Opera saloon and the 2-door Maremma estate, which are not considered as part of the nomination."

Quite. The perfect car to park near a Monte Carlo casino back in its heyday, wouldn't you say?

And I know, it's a Fiat, but it's still a very elegant car. I can't help but to give a SZ rating for the 130 Coupe. Before you storm me with the forks and torches, allow me to explain this; in my mind, the 130 Coupe took a lame duck (the original 130 Sedan) and transformed said duck into a very pretty swan. A cliched story, perhaps, but it happened with this car. And it managed to innovate so much with the 130 platform that those same innovations found their way back to the lame duck, which was the 130 sedan. Enzo Ferrari must've thought the same, considering he owned one, I'm sure. Just be sure to get one that hasn't been thrashed by the greatest enemy of 1970-1980's Italian cars...

...la ruggine.

Because it's a Fiat, I was all too tempted to hit uncool.

Then I looked at it and said, "you know what, that doesn't look half bad actually."

Cool.

Classy. A Fiat from before '80s Fiat became a thing. These were well built prestige coupes in their day.

Cool because high powered Fiat :D, but it weighs 1,555 kg.

Still cool.

Uncool. This does nothing for me and it looks rather average. I like the interior though.

I'd never heard the 130 coupe before this nomination. As others have said, classy.

Solid cool.

Awfully pretty for a mass-market coupe of the time.

Normally don't like boxy cars, but this isn't boxy at all. Was tempted to say it looks awfully like a Pinin-designed Ferrari or Maser... then I looked at the blurb... yup... it's a Pininfarina house design... very distinctive and very well executed.

The rear pillar is what pulls it all together (little wonder that both magazine pics are of the rear!)... and it's one of the best I've seen from that particular era.

Can't SZ fast enough. A true masterpiece from Pininfarina; he felt that it was his best design ever and I can see why. In photos it looks great, in real life it looks even better. Everything is just right.

Actually, only one of the "magazine pictures" is indeed just that; I believe that the silver car picture is from a Fiat brochure. And ironically, they're indeed both pictures from a 3/4 rear angle.

Also, it does indeed feel very Pinin-like, with the boxy profile and the elegance of its details. Not entirely unlike Pinin's other 1970's coupe; the Peugeot 504 Coupe...

Ugly, and generic looking in an unlicensed video game car sort of way. Kind of heavy with meh power.

SU.
