Transmission: 4 speed manual/5 speed manual (After 1978 w/ 1.5L Engine)
Drivetrain: Rear-Mid Engine, Rear Wheel Drive

It's like a mini-Stratos (both designed by Gandini) with a targa body style. And a pricetag nowadays that anyone would find reasonable.

75bhp of solid cool.

True entry level MR car with power levels that won't get you into trouble. Pro tip: Lancia's 2.0 16v Turbo is almost direct swap. Cool

Cool. These cars are awesome and rare enough that the average person would want to check it out. Also I've met a couple owners of these and they are among the coolest classic car owners I've met, they are laid back and don't take their cars too seriously.

One of the better cars Fiat made. Plus these can be turned into hillclimb monsters. Cool.

Could do with a little bit more power, but still, it is one of better driving cars with a Fiat badge. Working on it is a bit of a PITA, and it being a Fiat, that's a pretty regular thing. But it doesn't matter. Every time you drive you'll smile.

Cool.

Another small plus, it's getting rare.

There must be some kind of near-universal appeal to the X1/9, because after moving from Madison it didn't take me long to find two of these out here in pickup-truck-land.

...Rotting away in the weeds, of course.

That is an insane consensus for cool.

Never heardof this car, but looks cool to me.

I gave it a meh, looks alright, I'm sure it handles good, and the power should be alright for the weight. Nothing is really standing out though.

I remember hating the Mythbusters for a time because they destroyed one of these in an episode (the one where they hit two semis together, think it was called 'Compact Compact' or some other stupid name...)

Cool.

Wow, I have never seen a cool wall poll like that before. So far almost exclusively cool votes!

@XS And I'm about to pollute the system with a sacrilegious Meh or Uncool vote. You see, one of the reasons I like muscle cars is that they "punch above their badge": "Chevrolet" may not be a name frequently spoken in boardrooms and fashion districts, but we'll see who's laughing when your fancy import struggles to shake a Camaro ZL1 costing 1/3 as much. This is... sort of the opposite of that. It looks like a sports car, it's mid-engined like a sport car... and it's slow like a base-model economy car. Fun to drive? On the right road, maybe. Cool? Maybe, if someone doesn't know what it is. Granted, a lot of people would think it looks fast, but then that's just my point... any appreciation the uninitated would have for it is tempered by the fact that, every time you stomp on it, you'll be reminded that it doesn't quite have the go to match the show. A "slow" Porsche 914 will give it a good run for its money, a slow Fiero will probably be a bit faster, and an MR2 or the hot versions of either of the other two will laugh in its face - and this car never had a hot version with which to respond. It's the car that was just never quite as good as the others, and there's nothing cool about that.
