Rubbish interior ergonomics.
Appallingly unreliable.
Rubbish build quality.
Giugiaro design.
Busso V6.
Conclusion? Sub-zero.

And not despite the shortcomings, but because of the shortcomings. It just wouldn't be an Alfa without them.

My parents' Alfa Giulietta for instance, has useless cupholders because of the central armrest being in the way. The handbrake is closer to the passenger's seat than the driver's, and you have to break your wrist to use it.

There's nowhere for your legs in the passenger side, because of the misshapen, lumpy footwell and oddly shaped dashboard. On a freezing cold day, when you can't be bothered to get out of bed, and you get in the car, you notice the car's gear change is a bit clunky and notchy from first to second. It's almost like the car too is struggling like you are.

Despite making the car harder to use, I just love these little foibles for some inexplicable reason. Flaws something humans have, not machines. They make the car feel just that little bit more unique and almost human.
