Don't forget the M550d.

Similar reason though - they're an excuse to stick an M badge on anything. Not that you need an excuse, since you can buy M-Sport packs and even just M badges with your new 116. Here it's the PR flanges at BMW USA at the time deciding to sell it with a name that the people who actually made the chuffin' thing didn't give it in its home market.

or the X5/X6 M50d :D (or a number of other models due along shortly.. X4 M40i, M240i, M340i for instance....) It does seem though, that the PR flanges in the US of A hit on something as the naming structure was then adopted by BMW in ze Fatherland for most 'full' M models since. Also, even back then, you could stick an M-logo (M-Technic) in those days, on your non-M car if you bought the right bits. (had an M-Technic kit on my E28 528i :D) - (and that was thanks to the PR flanges in Munich)

Anyhow... perhaps this has become slash-esque enough.
 
This thing is borderline sub-zero. They are cheap as hell for what they offer and the shark nose is way cool. Nothing pushes it to sub-zero territory but it's close to the 8 and Z8 which in turn are way behind 507 coolness levels.
 
A very low sub-zero for this one.

The basic 628i models don't look proportioned very well where as the M635csi models look awesome!

The M6. :lol: The fact that it weighs more than the rest of the 6 series versions is seriously uncool. Performance does not mean more weight.

Kinda does most of the time, current M5 and M3/4 all weigh more then the other versions, bigger wider tyres, bigger brakes heavy duty Parts tends to weigh more.

Was always a cool car back in the day. Now it's gone through it's 'owned exclusively by pub landlords and secondhand car dealers' faze, it's a classic and now cool again.
 
By far the best looking BMW ever. Great handler for the weight. It's more a GT than a proper sports car. And the 3.5 12v responds pretty good to mild tuning.
Apart from rust on the early models these are stereotypical German engineering marvels. Bulletproof.

Sub zero of the sub zeroest kind.
 
SZ. Sorry I couldn't vote for you old girl, did alright without me though.

Don't you wish BMWs of today had the presence this thing has? That nose seems to go forever, and the back end just looks right somehow.
