It's a dorky Ritmo (cool) which got the Abarth treatment of taking a poor man's car and making it go fast(er) (which is cooler). It's also an Italian car from the early 80s, which as you may already know is the best-est time period for anything Italian.

You guessed it. Sub-zero. Okay, it's not fast, it's not beautiful, and it will probably rust if you do as much as looking at it funny, so what? It oozes charisma, it's just barely less 80s than an 80s Lamborghini, and I can find one for dirt-cheap too!

And it sounds great for what it is (at least in racing trim).

A friend of mine had one of these. Quick in it's day and sounded incredible. Interior was shocking though and dash in these was way too high up. If it wasn't for the 132 Abarth being a thing, then this would be a SZ. As it is, it's an iconic 80s Cool.

Apparently the portmanteau of "Ritalin" and the nickname of Guantanamo Bay is much cooler...

Ritmo [Spanish or Italian] = Rhythm [English].

Come to think of it, "rhythm" is a really awkward-looking word. "t-h-m" looks quite visually disruptive, it sounds lazy, and "r-h-y" always bugs the snot out of me.

Therefore, it's a perfect name for this car, although I'd go with Ritmo El Barto.

Probably good fun, if it hasn't rusted away by now, but it looks Uncool. Thus, that's what it's getting from me.
