Ummed and ahhed over this one, but went for cool.

Wouldn't have been, a few years ago when the big bodykit crowd was still at them, but I think now these are old enough and forgotten enough that the people buying them are doing it for the appreciation of the original car, rather than just a cheap way of getting a platform to modify.

They're also neat for the same reason most Preludes are neat - you just don't see proportions like these in regular cars any more. A Prelude looks really low out on the street, particularly along the hood. In most modern coupe equivalents you're sitting a foot higher and with so much more metal around you. So for the way they look, and that you rarely see tastelessly-modified ones any longer, cool.

The period this Prelude was from (and its successor, for that matter) was probably the last great era for the proper coupe.

Cool. Amusingly the Eagle Vision has an eerily similar nose.

Honestly, the Prelude is one of my guilty pleasures. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if this would be reasonable for a first car?

However, regardless of how much I like it, it's still a fairly bland car. Meh.

It's a little faster than most parents want their kids first car to be, otherwise absolutely.
Just explain it's tuning viability to them. :D

You know, growing up in the 90s I used to see alot of these around, mostly in silver. Now to a 8-10 year old kid these two door coupes were pretty damn cool looking. Over time, they haven't really aged that well and my opinion on them was starting to become very 'Meh'. However not long ago I saw a bad image of a blue one in Japan that has been tweaked a little here and there. I'll attach an image to this post. I don't know what the engine is, but I'm sure that can be tuned/replaced/etc.

Solely on this blue one, I'm going to say 'Cool'. When tweaked they look fantastic, but some can be taken way over the top.

That actually looks pretty similar to the one I missed out on. Substitute a burgundy instead, unpainted hood (I know, I know)and 5 spoke wheels,

The Third Gen and Fifth Gen I like but there's something about the 4th just just doesn't work for me.

Meh.

It was carbon fiber.

I actually wanted to go that way with my sunroof. Should have probably still gone through with it. :D

Meh.

It's the schnoz, for me. Not as egregious as the finger in the middle of the B15 Sentra's grille, but it's still off-putting on what is otherwise such a sleek design.

I usually vote uncool for Hondas due to me seeing them driven by boy racers as I still often see EG Civics and recently 2 late 90s Preludes driving fast while swerving through the lanes, but I haven't seen this with these preludes. They also don't have that jerk driving mentality. So yeah, I'm giving this a cool vote.

Much like Donald Trump, there just seems to be something off about this car. I'm pretty sure that the rear end seems a bit too tall and a bit too shortfor the rest of the car. Maybe it needs ti be spray painted orange and have a stupid fake hairstyle put on top of it. I'm not sure
Unlike Trump though there are redeeming features in the suspension and powertrain setup that makes this a pretty good car to drive. It's no Lotus but it's A CAR that can be chucked around for year after year without blowing up. Actually that is sorta like Trump because both can make you laugh. Granted, you are laughing about different things but laughing nonetheless.
Cool

SZ, simple reason, drove it long time ago if only for a few minutes, a street sleeper in black with engine that revved to 9k, lowered a bit, sticky wider semi slick up front, and that noise on full song, a regular at night meet :O

I didn't like it. It just wasn't a deal breaker to the extent that I would have kept from buying it if I had gotten the chance.

Or would have paid to have it swapped

I'd forgive you, either way.

Always thought the front of this gen with the rest of the final gen would be a better looking car. I've been thinking about how I would vote on this one since I saw the thread posted originally.

It's a neat little FF coupe, but I feel the car is marginally cool, barely.
