It has potential, but it looks like an Esprit kit car. Balances out to meh.

It looks like a kit car knock off of an F40. But it also looks awesome. It's got enough character of it's own that you think of it as its own entity, and not an F40 copy. It just looks insane, and very, very cool. SZ.

Sacrebleu! Such a sad, sleepy blue Smurf!

Wake up, mon ami! Ve must go out for a drive, you and I! Along the Champs Elysee, to wave at all the pretty ladies with their unshaven armpits, ho ho ho!

Nice, but has that kit car look.

Meh.

Awesome car. I was lucky enough to see its baby brother on the road once, the other one that was in GT (300 Atlantique? Looked more like an Esprit than this). I have no clue if the thing is reliable, but it's a rarity, a French supercar that looks good to boot. Also can be seen hooning around Tsukuba if you check out those old Japanese show vids on Youtube, though it didn't really get much attention in that. SZ.

Love it.

Seriously Uncool

All I think about its coolness is that you'll get in conversation like this:
"Nice Ferrari F40"
"It isn't Ferrari, it's a French supercar called Venturi 400GT"
"So it's some France made F40 copy"
Seriously Uncool.

I can't even imagine Average Joe mistaking this for an F40. Or a copy. They both share an identical rear wing design but the obvious similarities end there. If anything, it looks more like a 288 GTO Evoluzione with E21 rear lights (which look perfect on the Venturi).

It also managed to pull it off without looking like a cheap, shed-built knock-off. Or an vulgar monstrosity. Or a bland, forgettable mass. It's the right mix of 90s style substance for something quite so esoteric. And yes, I would make a beeline for one provided my path isn't obstructed by an EB110.

That said, as much as I like the Bugatti (certainly more than the 400GT), this just about nudges above it on the Cool-O-Meter. Low Sub Zero.

Anybody that knows what an F40 looks like, will never mistake it for an F40.

Looks like a kit car. Meh.

But, Gran Turismo 2 makes it a cool.

"Kickass F50 bro!"

Uncool.

A car fan.

Car fans aren't cool.
Idiots aren't cool either (imo).. And the ordinary (non car fan) Joe probably wouldn't know what an F40 or F50 looks like, unless they're a car fan.. in which case, if they were to mistake it for either of those cars (specifically), that would make them a bit of an idiot, in my book.

Messed up logic, i know, but that's the way i see it.

Blah blah kit car, blah blah looks like a Ferrari.

The car also looks like it's in the middle of a yawn.

First thing that popped in my mind :

Also, it's powered by an engine designed by the same guys who build the Delorean's engine, so you'll know it will be bad.

So it's 0-88 in 4:20, at which point the car blazes its tyres?

More like:

Turn key, nothing but silence. Or *click*.

It does 0-85, at which point the speedometer cable breaks and you have to guess what speed you're going.

It looks like something straight out of Ridge Racer (which makes it colder than Sub-Zero) but then it's French (which makes me feel weird, because French cars are both unreliable and underpowered pieces of **** AND extremely attractive) and it's not as good-looking as the car on which it's based: the Venturi Atlantique, which is basically a Lotus Esprit done right.

So, I guess it's a cool for me, but nothing more.
