A Kia-Mazda-Ford rot-hatch with an an embarrassingly unsuitable nameplate that resembles a Daewoo Nexia. Only without the ancient Astra underpinnings.

Seriously Uncool.

All I see is a sad looking car. Its face just whispers : please put me to rest.

I can not vote.

Obvious SU is obvious...

Aside from the part where you could drop a 1.8 from an Escort GT or higher-end Tracer into it, add boost, and have something fast for zero money. Still doesn't make it cool, good, or any positive adjective, but it's a thing that could be done rather painlessly... Although the Festiva that preceded it would be better suited even for that.

Giving it a neutral rating only because it's from a company I like.

Meanwhile, Google search has made me find out about a car called "Ford Figo Aspire" that is sold in the Indian market.

Seems to be as horrible as this Aspire, then again, this is an Indian-market economy car...

Also, i imagine we're all pretty curious to hear why @bruhracer399 voted SZ on this...

I think the single subzero vote is worth it just to counter the "Let's nominate the worst car we can thnk of so we can send something to hell" brigade. :D

Still... Ford-Kia-Mazda had a good thing going with the Festiva... which was well received, relatively decent looking, reliable (at least until it rusted to bits) and economical... and a great platform for all sorts of Mazda-based mad engine swaps (most popular being the turbo 1.6 from the Astina)... as well as the Festiva SHOgun.

Then they built this.

Wugh.

It looks so sad, I feel bad for it. :(

SZ vote might cheer it up.

Seriously though, I just ran a search for Aspires on Cars.com and Autotrader, within 500 miles. Cars.com doesn't even list it in the model list, and there was only 1 heavily used Aspire on Autotrader, and the dealer wants $2,500 for it.

A lot of econoboxes are charming or endearing in their own way. This isn't one of them. Seriously uncool.

I don't know if this car is any good or not (probably isn't), but as far as I'm concerned, it's a piece of garbage from what was probably Ford's worst time ever.

Definitely, definitely, seriously uncool.

I remember seeing this car in my 7th grade math book. I think it was a math problem about the probability of choosing the Aspire or a Lincoln Continental

After reading a bit online, it's an half arsed badge job. As @homeforsummer said, there were perfectly fine Fiestas running about to take its place.

Seriously uncool.

The very source of cheap P-Plater motoring at its very...finest? I guess?

These are literally everywhere here in Adelaide, almost all of them are red which has faded to some form of salmon pink, and most are indeed wearing P-Plates.

Drove a Festiva for the Mystery Box Rally after our Baleno cracked a head, and it really was terrible to drive. Did handle the unsealed roads with aplomb though I must say :P

Still Seriously Uncool.
