~90% of all of the Glanza V owners in Ireland spend their weekends chugging down "naggins", wear Glasgow Celtic FC jerseys and are referred to with a name ending in "O". Uncool.

Well under 1000kg and 130+ hp from a turbo hatch? Cool. 👍

On the one hand, this is the sort of car that a seventeen year old might buy and glue a bunch of ill fitting body kits to and then drive far too quickly through a residential area.

On the other hand, they're more likely to do that with a Corsa.

Uncool.

Had to stab myself in the face with a fork to stop me falling asleep just looking at it. Seriously? Uncool.

Does anyone know a good doctor...

Warming up a regular Starlet and then calling it Glanza V and put some useless go-faste stickers on the side feels like that Toyota wanted to turn a dull car into something uncool. Which they did, to be honest

The inner GT nerd in me wanted to vote Cool, because it's one of the cars that the series introduced me to. But video game nerds are uncool, almost seriously so.

Looked at as the predecessor to the Yaris/Echo, but with an interesting engine choice, it finds its way into Meh land.

Liar. The greatest car ever is obviously the Camry 2.2.
Whats sad is that in the real world and off the cool thread you are probably right. I owned one and have driven dozens of cars ranging from 100k+ to crapbox worthless and of them all the 2.2 still stands out as a great car.

More over, as time goes by I've learned that the cool wall is a joke and more often than not a way to make great cars uncool and lame cars the bee's knees.

Btw I took your 2.2 comment as a joke but the kind that was accidentally based in reality.

There is actually reason to believe that the 2.2 Camry was the most over-engineered car in the world.

I've used this before, but it's still a cool chart:

Toyota charged more for the mid-90's Camry sedans than any other Camry... for good reason... they spent a crudload on building them.

So yes... it's both a joke... and not.
