I don't think the body kit looks too bad. It's probably required for homologation purposes, so is functional - for the race version anyway. I've never played NFS, so it doesn't have those negative connotations for me.

Definitely maybe?

Who knows for sure. I've not seen any images of it on the move or wearing anything other than blank or 'BMW M3 GTR' display plates.

Apologies Famine, I did get too "personal" back there, I do respect your opinion of course. I am still of the belief that something is more defined by its intended or potential functionality (not purpose, though that would perhaps lead to another argument over semantics), as, say, a "decommissioned firearm" is still, by definition, a firearm, even if not currently being used as such.

I should perhaps have included the words "originally intended" for clarity. A wrecked car is still a car etc etc. I could go on. Saying it is no longer a car is likably zen, but not a view shared by most as far as I can gather, and hence such cars being nominated and for the most part still voted on here.

What does dismay me a little is the ease with which others prefer to post facile gifs in response rather than actually bringing anything constructive to the discussion. Still, that's forums for ya.

not always, but often:
So, it's not the fact that they're not being driven, but rather that they're not being kept in operating condition that disqualifies them from being cars?

If it's the former; does my car stop being a car when I park it for the night?
If it's the latter; does my car stop being a car if it runs out of fuel?

:D

Yes and no.

It's not really either. It's that they're not only not being kept in operating condition but being deliberately rendered inoperable.

If you park your car up or run it out of fuel on the understanding that you will neither put fuel in or drive it again nor sell it on to a third party who will, yes, it's stopped being a car.

I would make babies with this thing. Sub-Zero. Also, I don't care if it's been rendered inoperable. It can easily be rendered operable again. Still a car.

-> As an E46 M3 ZCP owner, this car doesn't wow me too much. Sure is rare as a mofo, but thats about it. MT on this car is a nice touch (compared to the CSL), but the mere fact it looks like an unproportioned mess ruins it overall. And I'm not even getting started on its involvement with videogames!

-> Overall, the CLK DTM executed way better than this M3 GTR.
